  1. No place there to store things there, BUT if you go to one of the restaurants on the beach, Tres Palmas, comes to mind, get a table, start a tab, order drinks, maybe some food, ask the waiter to keep an eye on things, you should be ok. Don’t bring excess cash, or anything else of value. Leave your jewellery on-board.  We live in Zihuatanejo for two months every winter, and have yet had anything go astray.  Enjoy your day.  Pay your tab at the end of the day.

  2. That is still over and above their regular pay. If your wages were increased by 600 every two weeks, wouldn't you consider yourself very fortunate. You also do not take into consideration the average income in their home countries. Very few, if any live in the USA.

You seem to think that the passengers should pay the wages of the crew and let NCL off without proper compensation to the crew. If you think that the crew are underpaid, your gripe is with NCL, not the inconvenienced passengers.

ps. By the way, the average annual income in the Phillipines is apx $5200 usd and in Indonesia is apx $7000 usd. The cost of a decent living there is not the same as the USA or Canada.
  3. BTW....

    $420,000 / 700 = $600 per staff member

    $600 / 15 days = $40 per staff member per day

$40 / approx 10 hours per day (which some of these people work MUCH more) = $4 per hour

Punishing the working man for the corporation's wrong doings... Good plan! (That's sarcasm)

  4. Now that would work! Dazzles is too small and very dated. Ironically it was the Spinnaker Lounge that was removed on the Dawn to make suites. I hope they keep the deck though.

Las Ramblas is going to be Los Cabos we just got off. Did not hear about the Observation lounge, but there were no officers to be found after 500 passengers held an impromptu meeting about the appalling conditions onboard

  5. For those of you who are wondering about the DSC onboard refund. We have already received the credit onboard. Yes, we are still onboard, and can hardly wait to get off in LA. The people who are adamant about not taking off the DSC should crunch the numbers before saying how poorly the staff are paid. If everyone pays only the DSC and nothing extra, a full ship will give NCL 420,000 usd to disperse amongst the apx 900 crew, which by the way, includes all crew on board, from Captain, down. If you take Officers, Spa staff, contractors, entertainment staff etc off the list, then you are down to apx 700 belowdeck staff to disperse the $420,000Usd. A nice tip for a 15 day cruise. The crew also have a wage. So please, no more. It is the ONLY way to show our displeasure with the way the cruise is going, that will make NCL take notice.
