We were looking forward to the Meet and Mingle but could not find any information. Searched the daily schedule. Did we miss it?

Just returned from the May 19 Star Princess cruise to Alaska. Dress of any kind was acceptable from totally casual to formal. Very few formal. Unless you specifically want to dress formal don't waste the space.

We are going from New Orleans to Memphis in April 2018. I would recommend booking early. I don't think 12 months is too early as they also offer some discounts for early booking. We booked in April 2017 for April 2018. Last year we waited until September to book and the type of rooms we wanted were sold out for April 2017.As we usually spend little time in our room we often go for inside rooms but away from the stern and engine noise and away from noisy areas such as show areas. Our cruise is a "food" themed cruise (whatever that is?). One additional item to consider is the weather. Summer in that area can be very warm and humid. Also hurricanes and tornados. Late fall and spring are best in my opinion

We were on the Crystal starting March 20 2017 in Havana. .We found the tours to be very good and informative with no political issues. None of the tours or onboard presentations were required (no check in or sign in). The Cuban people we interacted with were friendly and welcoming of Americans. We attended a number of the onboard talks and found them very informative. Great information about the Battle of San Juan Hill and the loss of American soldiers on the Santiago tour. The busses were nearly new, air conditioned and the tour guides very good. All spoke English very well. I think that if you skip all the tours you will miss a significant amount of information.
