    Comments - 1) Sea walk on 16 deck above has several lights below fully illuminating the balcony at night which makes night viewing of the sky or ocean very very difficult. 

    2) We have been below the pool area several times but this is the first ship where we could hear very clearly all the activity above. By 10pm each night it was silent and stayed quite until approx 7am so did not disturb our sleeping. 

    Other then these two things the room was fantastic and had good wifi signal with no problem even on sea days.

    😀I had to chuckle at this reply as I walked out to my 81 monte carlo to drive to my 1915 home and sit on my 36 year old couch to watch my 1984 TV.......Best as I know, no security updates needed as we only use the phone to call places so there is no info on it or provided to purchase it.

    Anyways confirmed into the green lane and again informed there is no need for the app so we will see.

    I went back and do not see any drop down called information. Just the message "This app is available for your device"  Some where in the many post I read someone said you need version 8 or higher but I have not seen anything on this from an official medallionclass site. 

    The good news is I got a call back from Princess today while at work. It was a fellow to help me with my app. I told him what it was doing. He had me open the app and after the normal for me 3 mins of load time then it just disappeared , he was unsure where to go but said he could get me "Green lined" over the phone but unfortunately I do not have my passports at work so he is having me email photos of them along with our photos and he is going to get it all set up. He is having me send the info to the same email I have been using to request help. AskOceanMedallion@carnival.com 

    He is also going to call back sometime on Wed to make sure its all done properly. So this all sounds encouraging and hope it really does move forward that easily.

    ETA:  @Adam/, my research says this is a low-end phone from 2018.  It is possible this phone does not support MC App.  What level of Android OS are you on?  I think you need to be sure the device will support MC App.

     Have not idea when this version of phone came out, purchased it 18 months ago. I did find this link to what phone are compatible and mine is listed as compatible motoe5 go - Rjames_go. The version under about phone is listed as Android 8.1.0 .  

     

    We do not have any other phones and only use this one a couple of times a year when on extended in the county trips. Rest of the time we have no use for it. I am going to try again to call princess to see what there back up plan is. I figured out how to search this site and found ever so much info but most is 6 months old so probably not the lastest is how things are progressing.  I also found this video but again it was put out back in Aug 2022 so things may of changed.

    Thank you for the reply, I did not see that it was only compatible with apple products only on the download page. Yes that is the same email address I used for my two emails. We are still 90 days out from our cruise but am not the kind of person who like to wait until the last minute to address a problem. I also have the question out to Princess if its really needed and I am hoping the answer is no!

  6. Has anyone else had this problem I been working on for 2 wks or know of a fix.  I download the medallion app onto my moto e5 phone and that goes well but once I open it and it fully loads it just closes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it via data and Wi-Fi with same results. I have been trying to contact Princess via phone and email with no success and google searches have come up empty.
