  1. Glad that I could help!

I know exactly what you mean about starting out with a basic cruise then working your way up to the latest and greatest. If you start out with WOW it can create future expectations that can be hard to maintain.

The Carnival Sensation trip that I mentioned (Jan 2014) was my first cruise. I actually thought it was great to be on a smaller, more manageable and to be honest more 'basic' ship. It also really made the cruise seem like a small floating family; we kept seeing the same groups of people while walking around and ended up having conversations more often than not.

It also gave me an idea of whether or not cruising was for me without spending a lot on that first cruise.

If you can, please check back in and let us know what happens :)

  2. Superstar Live Karaoke is what it was called on Carnival Sensation. This was the one with the live band. It lasted 90 mins and was not offered every day. I really enjoyed it!

Regular karaoke was called Karaoke Awesome with Rodrigo. This was traditional karaoke with a pre-recorded track (not a live band). It lasted anywhere from 1 hour to 10pm-wee hours...and was offered several times a day.

    Hope this helps.

We were on the Carnival Sensation in January of 2014 and they offered it....like the other poster advised, it was not offered every night. It was a lot of fun and the band was awesome, they seemed to enjoy the performances a lot! :)

Right now I'm at work but when I get home I'll check the fun times to see exactly what it was called...

  4. Does anyone out there still have the fun times tear off portion for 1/28 and 1/29? I already posted this in the 'roll call' section for our cruise w/no success...

This is the narrow list that can be torn off that lists all of the daily activities by hour...

I have all of the larger 'fun times' booklets but am missing those 2 tear off thingies...trying to put together a digital scrap book....

If anyone can help w/a scan of the front/back of each one I would really appreciate it.....

It was a great cruise and I hope everyone had as much fun as I did!!

  5. My friend and I just booked the Sea Lion interaction at Atlantis -- can't wait!!

(Blue Lagoon was already full). We will be on the Carnival Sensation.

    I have two questions:

    1. What is the price of the photos? How many do they have available for purchase? Do they also do any sort of DVD or anything (I realize it's just a short interaction so this may not be available).

    2. How much was the cab ride to Atlantis from the cruise port? Is it a flat rate or a per person rate?

Just want to cover all my bases and know in advance how much it's going to cost once I get there...from what I've read Atlantis is $$$$$...

Thanks for all your help, this board is really awesome! :)
