Hello again!
I've noticed there is quite a difference in Caribbean itineraries and I was wondering which one most people here would think was better for my partner and I. Again, we are in our early 40's, no kids.

Since I'm pretty clueless about the Caribbean it would be great to hear what people here think!

Thank you everyone for some amazing replies. Based on the feedback you've provided, I think we will choose the Celebrity Eclipse. Even though it is just over 12 months away, I am really looking forward to it. :)
We are also going to use the Forums you suggested to see which destinations are the best for the different activities. Most of the destinations seem to offer some sort of snorkeling package, but I'm curious to see which ones are the better ones for snorkeling, and leave the other destinations for sightseeing instead.

Hi everyone,
I have never been on a cruise before but my partner and I have now decided to do one in the Caribbean. This will really be a new experience for us. I am just confused as to which cruise line to choose.
We are looking for a 14 day itinerary which are offered by Holland America, Princess and Celebrity. To give an idea of ourselves, we are a couple in our 40's with no kids.
We would love to do shore excursions mostly. We aren't huge party animals but we also love socialising and meeting other people. Most likely we are hoping to get a balcony room for our first cruise.
The itineraries are similar but to give an idea:
Princess: Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; Roatan, Honduras; Cozumel, Mexico; Princess Cays, Bahamas; St. Maarten; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos Islands
Celebrity: Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, St. Lucia, Barbados, Antigua, St. Kitts, St. Maarten
Holland America: Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos Islands; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Half Moon Cay, Bahamas; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; Cozumel, Mexico; Key West, FL
Any advice given would be appreciated! Thank you

Thank you to everyone for their help with this one. Unfortunately it ended up being our jobs that made the decision for us! Due to dates and the amount of time we have off, it looks like we are taking the first option.
I won't lie - I was more keen on the second one as I wasn't sure if some of the destinations on the second were safe. But we are going with an open mind, on the Celebrity Equinox
I never considered visiting the Panama Canal but everyone here seems to speak highly of it. And the cave tubing in Belize sounds like a great day out. Now all we have to do is pay for the cruise, and count down the days!
We are still wondering whether paying the extra money for a suite is worth it, since you're basically just in your room to sleep?
Here's some of our past trips but this will be our first time on a cruise: http://blog.travelpod.com/members/andrewjerome
