Sailing on Explorer 30 March. As much as I would like to completely switch off from the office I can't - I have responsibilities. My mobile is with Optus. Do text messages work everywhere - even in the middle of the ocean - from memory 3 years ago we had "cellular at sea". Any recent experience with this?

Also - with RCI - do they still have any "pay as you go" internet? How much?

Just found this in Australian terms and conditions ... No more compulsory gratuities ???

22. Service Charge

For bookings created prior to 11 December 2016, if you have not pre-paid the service charge at time of booking, Royal Caribbean will add a daily service charge amount of US$13.50 (US$16.50 for suite guests) to each guest’s onboard SeaPass? account. If you wish to have these removed, please contact the Guest Services Desk onboard.

For bookings created from 12 December 2016 onwards for cruises departing 15 January 2017 onwards, onboard service charges for stateroom attendants and dining room staff are included in your voyage fare.

Please note: An 18% service charge will be automatically added to beverages, mini bar items, spa and salon purchases. Royal Caribbean reserves the right to adjust the recommended daily service charge amounts.

Does anybody have any pics of current drink menus? Have looked and looked. Don't drink very much alcohol but do love non-alc frozen cocktails. Trying to weigh up drinks package or not
