Thanks! Hopefully, I will have this all straightened out come October. Appreciate your response.

Cruising on NCL is like a knife fight at prom. If you get through it without a cut, you had a good time. If you get nicked, no one cares how much you bleed, especially NCL, but the band plays on.
We only book the Haven … fewer knives, more caring. Otherwise, suck it up and abuse the drink package.

I read elsewhere that the captain wired in he had water comin’ in and the good ship and crew were in peril. Later last night when her lights went out of sight, came the wreck of the Carnival Magic.

Sort of a Charles Bukowski/Hunter S. Thompson travel log with pics and candid/unvarnished insight and commentary. You could find a publisher.

You either have a VPN on or your browser does not allow tracking, e.g., DuckDuckGo. CC wants all your browser data.

No, it does not carry over to your next cruise or stay in your NCL account as OCB. It disappears at the end of the first cruise. If B2B, then I don’t know.

Can someone send a Bat signal to CHENG re: brigs?

Re: Season. We enjoyed May. It was not too hot and not quite the peak. The salmon are not running yet so no bears if that is of interest.

Damn, Chief, that article was enlightening … I now appreciate your adamance about the importance of in-person lifeboat drills. Thank goodness for the Coasties.

Purely curious and largely towards Andy and Chief. If lifeboat (the rigid, enclosed structure kind that carry our arses tendering) capacity is less than 100% of souls on board, some portion - likely crew, but maybe some passengers if the ship is listing and can’t use the “lifeboats” - must use the alternatives. The alternatives are inflatable rafts of some sort. What is the survivability on those alternatives in cold weather? I recall reading on the boards that sailors need to plan on help being hours, if not days, away from rescue. Just thinking of the cold weather cruises … but maybe they are so close to shore that rescue would be fast … I don’t know. Thanks!

Good plan ..... until the lifeboat, on trip 1, in worsening weather, shipped a greenie and sank …
Curious … “shipped a greenie”? Can you explain for a non-nautical person? Thanks! -
Interesting to hear eligibility is based solely on cumulative wager amount. I believe I accrue points at my land-based casino based on in & out amounts. $500k is a heavy wager total but not so mind blowing with in & out accounting.

I just received an email that someone quoted my post from 4+ years ago. I haven’t been on CC for a while and I can’t remember if the cruise ever sold out. Just wanted to say “Hi all!”

Sorry to go OT, but I had to comment on this. What does "traditional" mean in this sense - racist? If so, then call them what they are and don't use much nicer "code" words.
‘‘Traditional” means “The Villages”

Let’s stick to the script, folks. I, too, have veered off course, but think: Encore. She is soon in service.
