We are cruising early next month, it's me with my wife and 2 year old son. We are booked on a extended balcony on deck 7 on the carnival Glory. Just got a call to upgrade to an ocean suite for total $460 or to Captain suite for $1500. I said I'll call back tonight, would u go for it and if yes which one?

We booked both 9201 (2ppl) and 9200 (3ppl) on Glory for 01/17. We had to look that far out to get both grand scenic rooms.

I started this thread long ago and was surprised to see it pop back up.
I finally got to stay in one of these cabins last summer -- 9200 on the Valor. It was AMAZING and I would totally do it again!

I would take 9200 over the balcony
I must say I am impressed that 2 people can book 9200
I can not ever get a cabin for 4 for the 3 of us
Grand daughter wants to sleep in
That make me feel a lot better, I have 9200 booked on valor and was debating if I should change to a balcony.

We are booked in one of the Scenic ocean view rooms 9198 on the Valor and just received an email about upgrading to the Captains suite for an additional $2000.00 for the 3 of us. No thank you but I do appreciate the call, never happened before!!! I could go on another cruise for that. WOW!!! :D
Then I was offered an Ocean view suite for an additional $820.00 for the 3 of us. I passed on both we are perfectly happy with the room we chose over a year ago.
It was pretty exciting since we have never gotten an upsell offer before.. :)
When is ur cruise? we have room 9200 booked for 3 on the Valor for February 22 and the cost for all 3 of us was under $2000.

Still super worried about getting bumped from our 9200...heh...
Still semi-upset with the agent for allowing us to book without warning us it was for 4 and we could be bumped.
My anxiety level has gone down a bit for now...until it gets closer :o
I'm in the same situation, we have 9200 booked for 2 on the Valor in February and the agent didn't mention anything about the possibility of getting bumped.

I have a 4k grand scenic room 9200 booked for 2 people on the Valor for February 22, that room can have up to 4 people. Just call them and ask I'm sure they will give it to you.

I saw some one mention in a post that the Valor has the thin crust pizza.

Your driver license is all u need. Most of the time they don't even ask for it when u get back on the ship.

We have taken celebrity constellation last year and loved it, but it was our first cruise so we weren't sure what to expect.
We want to know what one out of the two has the better destinations/excursions? Which one has better food? What is the better ship out of the two? We don't want to be surrounded by tons of children, as we are more of drinkers. However we don't want to be surrounded by crazy young drinkers. Any input will help. Thanks!

I don't know why but I decided to check my husbands email account today. There it was the infamous upsell email.
The offer was for upgrading from our inside cabin to a deluxe oceanview cabin for only $70. It would have cost us $200 to upgrade ourselves without the offer. Once I finally reached my husband he said it was up to me. Well that was a dumb response, lol.
We went from a inside on deck 6 forward to deck 1 midship. I know most of you probably wouldn't take a cabin on deck 1 but this cabin has the extra bathroom with the sink and junior tub. To me it was worth switching cabins. Now I am even more excited about our cruise.:D

The Liberty for a May 5 day to Key West, Nassau and Freeport... any information about this ship or ports would be appreciated! This will be our first 2.0 ship; we've cruised before but mostly on The Sensation.
You will love guys burger. The ship is perfect size; not too big not to small. Depending what time u will be in Nassau, Atlantis is the best if you are into water parks, otherwise there are nice beaches very close to port.

I've never been on a cruise before and never been out of country, so three months ago I booked a may birthday cruise. Only princess and carnival had cruises near when I wanyed it and departed on galveston.ended up picking carnival magic and was so excited but then as months went by I hear from more and more people..even family members saying carnival is bad cruise line and should of booked princess (heard that was owned by carnival so doesn't make sense) .I understand for the price I can't expect high class but did I really make a mistake choosing carnival over princess. Or is this all over hype over that one bad cruise and the concordia. I'm on low income and just going to applebees or chilis is considered special so I am not hard to please. That being said has anyone been on carnival magic in last year or so that can tell me how it went. Is carnival really a bad line ? Should cancel my booking and book princess?
You will love it, don't stress about it. Also ignore the negative views and remember there will always be good and bad reviews about any cruise line.

We've booked a cruise on the Sunshine for July, but after seeing a lot of negative reviews we're thinking of changing to the Liberty. Anyone have any thoughts on choosing between the two?

I am having a hard time with the naked tables. I wish they would leave the tablecloths on the table to look like fine dining and not like the tables on the lido deck :rolleyes:

We're waiting to disembark from our 6 day Eastern Caribbean cruise. We had a very good time, I'll try to do a review soon but, let me know if you have specific questions.
In general, we had fun, but think we'll head back to the smaller ships. We just felt that the crew have so much to do and have to cover so much ground that we didn't get to know them and they, for the most part, didn't get to know us.

Looking forward to your review, we will be on the breeze Jan 12 western 6 day, so you had 2 formal nights? When I asked the carnival agent on phone she told me we would have 1 formal night. Any idea if 6 day western would be different?

Have not stayed but it is often suggested -- have you checked trip advisor? :confused:
Best way to get downtown is a cab; figure $20-25+ each way -- I'd stay downtown instead of dropping $50 on cab fare. If you wanted to go to South Beach you could shuttle back to MIA and catch the Airport Flyer bus from there for only $2.35 each.
