Thanks for letting me know. I heard to wear water shoes when walking but I see we don't need them to swim as the fins will cover our feet. I appreciate it. I assume we can walk in the water closer to the shore.

:)Has anyone been on or heard about the Champagne Catamaran Snorkel excursion in St. Thomas aboard Allure of the Seas. Do we need to wear water shoes in water? We heard about coral at the bottom of some oceans posing a danger and causing feet to get cut. Please advise if you know.

We have booked the Champagne Catamaran snorkel shoe excursion for 2 adults and 1 child. If anyone has been or knows should we get some water shoes to wear as I am not sure if there is coral on the ocean bottom or not in this area. Not sure if we are wearing snorkel fins that will cover our feet or not as have not done this before.

I booked the champagne catamaran snorkel tour in St Thomas on Allure of the Seas Jan 19th. If anyone has been snorkeling there do we need to purchase water shoes to wear? I have heard of coral cutting people's feet not sure if it is in this area or not.

We are on the January 19th sailing, my son 11 years old, husband and myself. First time onboard! Last were on Freedom 6 years ago!

Thanks for your reply. I have heard about this. Is this a trip we can arrange on our own? Or is it prearrange with the ship excursions. A couple other questions, do we need to have any water shoes, I have heard about coral, not sure if it is shallow water where your feet touch the bottom. My son loves sea turtles! You say you are on our cruise? Have you been on this ship before? We went on Freedom of the Seas 5 years ago and booked all our excursions ahead of time prepaid. Thanks for your help.

I am cruising with an 11 year child on Allure Easter Carribeqan going to Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Martaan.

We want to take him snorkeling.

Which prt if best on allure do this? Can anyone suggest a good place to go for this and how to do it? We are thinking of doing a prepaid excursion but not sure if there is a better way to go on our own. We also wanted to know if the places who offer snorkeling have childrens' equipment to fit them properly?
