I think possibly the reason the forum strayed was the question..
Would I get the cheap Cruise fair AND get the shareholder on board credit?
Yep, and do we reckon that’s been answered now?

But just think we may be straying a little from the original purpose of the thread??

Very cool, I am surprised at how fast they come in to the dock. and how fast the clouds were moving as well, must be very windy in Sydney today.;p

Hi, have a friend who is going on his first cruise on Pacific Jewel soon and he's not sure what time he is booked in for the dining room or how it works. We took a look at his booking online but can't see anywhere where it's mentioned (like it is on my Royal bookings, which I selected when I booked). How can he find out? Or better still how can he now select the option he wants? Assume they have an early sitting, late sitting and some sort of any time dining? Thanks!

Can't believe how much they are screwing around with people!! Now what, the charter people, who couldn't fill the ship (so Royal put the remaining on sale) want them back now?? ***?
-
Wow!!! Unbelievable!
-
Thanks for the thread/info. Can't wait for these ships to arrive!!
-
Wow they'd have to be some important and much loved "stars". The SOB advertised "from $US1,250" for 4 nights is a bit steep!!
-
Wow, I would not be happy if I unwittingly booked this cruise and then discovered that it was 80% chartered. They should be upfront about it. I'm sure if the price is low enough people will still be happy to book.
Agreed. People should be made aware and they can decide from there. And the prices should be reduced! I couldn't imagine it running very smoothly for the non-charter passengers at all.
-
Was probably only ever advertised in the Middle East with Emirates airline a sponsor of Stars Onboard
and info still available on this site http://www.starsonboard.me/site/aboutus/company-profile.html?imz_st
Ok so I wonder wether this "event" is still going ahead and they're now just trying to sell the remaining empty cabins??
-
Was it said who chartered it, and then didn't?
Well whoever they are I reckon Royal would be none too pleased with them!
-
Interesting to see Royal are selling this cruise again. From FB...
"Fancy a 4-night Sydney-Brisbane-Sydney getaway on the beautiful, Explorer of the Seas departing 5 December, 2017? It's the perfect introduction for those who are new to cruising and a great opportunity for those looking for a quick, relaxing getaway!"
-
Yes amazing to watch onboard...especially as you can see just how much the ship is actually moving but your not really feeling it...or noticing
-
Bigger might be better for the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. It's downright moronic for the South Pacific.
Like I said, match the ships to the infrastructure. I love cruising with Royal, but this is one thing they suck at. They have an obsession with making bigger and bigger ships, these ships just don't work Down Under.
I did 5 cruises on the Rhapsody. I loved that ship, and it was just the right size for the region. I can't see myself doing a South Pacific cruise on Voyager or Explorer because they are so limited with their itineraries that cruising with them has no appeal at all.

YES!! Bring back Rhapsody!!!

On RC's site there's a 6 night Tasmania cruise (stops in Melbourne and Hobart) available for booking that departs Sydney on the 9th of Dec.
So looks like the 4 night sailing from the 5th is the chartered cruise.
Anyone left a cruise early from a Royal ship in Noumea?

From a cruise Sydney return.

I see on the FAQs that it can be requested however has anyone been approved to do it?
TIA!
