  1. My best friend was just talking about.  He and his husband were with me on the Dream a few weeks ago and the meetup was in the Atrium Bar with lots of music playing.  He said not only was it loud it was a huge area with tons of people there so it would be awkward to try and approach people to visit.

In the past we have experienced the same thing, I am very much and extrovert were most of my friends that I travel with are introverted so I was going up to people saying "hey, are you here for the meetup?  I'm not gay but my friends over there are so you can come sit with us if you want."  LOL

  2. I do the same thing as Grandmarnnurse, I also work in a family business so I got a card for everyone in my family all on my account. We use it to buy parts, and pay any bills that we can with it including the phone bill, landline and wireless. Then we just pay off the balance every month.

And the same thing with buying things with links from the site. Even major retailers like Best Buy and Walmart give multiple rewards points if you book through the credit card website.

On other thing if you are using points to pay for a cruise try to have the price of the cruise at least $1500. This is the price that your points have the most value. For example if you were to book a cruise for $1499 it would take 120,000 to redeem for credit for the cruise, but once you reach $1500 it would only take 100,000. You just have to make sure to make the full charge on the credit card of $1500 to use the points for that value, you couldn't put a deposit of $500 and then pay the $1000. It has to be one charge of $1500 or greater.

  3. Usually about this time of year I get a special offer if I book a new cruise with my Carnival Mastercard. Usually its $150-200 Statement credit for a new booking and once it was Statement credit of 20% of the what the cruise charge was.

I am holding off on booking since it has to be a new booking. Has anyone else got an offer in the mail yet? I really hope I still get it this year. I'm getting antsy because I want to book but just don't want to miss a good deal.

  4. Hi,

I will be taking my first cruise on Royal Caribbean in May. I have been on Carnival for my past 8 cruises. I just saw that Royal has a photo package, I know on carnival I buy lots of photos and they have so many backdrops and photo opps every night. Will it be the same with Royal? Just wondering if it will be worth it.

  5. Trying to decide what we should do while in Cozumel. I am early 30s, my sister 20, but we are also traveling with my great aunt mid-70s and her daughter in 50s and my friend that is 80. ( Whew, quite a mix I know, but with this particular group we are all about 16 at heart)

But I was thinking of Chankanaaba, because it has the beach plus the gardens and things to walk through.

The past few times I was in Cozumel we just went to beach side restaurnts like Albertos and the Money bar. The only thing about that is all there is the beach.

Any ideas or suggestions or does Chankanaaba sould like the way to go?

  6. Any singles going on Elation out of New Orleans?

I'm a 31 Yr old single girl, and traveling with 4 other ladies, 3 or whom are single but also broad age range, a 20 yr old to the other 2 being in their 70's but super young and fun at heart. (For people who don't step outside your own age group for friends you have no idea the fun you are missing. LOL )

  7. I love lanyards. I don't want to carry a purse and usually am wearing a sundress that doesn't have pockets, so it's the easiet way for me. I have nice ones that are all jeweled up like jewelry. On formal night I do carry a small clutch so I put it in their so as not to ruin the effect of my dress.. But any other time people can laugh if they want, it's my vacation. LOL
