DH and I have just booked Symphony for May 2019 and are so excited to try RCI and to try an Oasis class ship.
Our two prior cruises have been with NCL on the Getaway and the Escape.
What are some great first timer tips you can give me for our first Oasis class cruise?
Thanks in Advance!

I’m loving this thread about Symphony! I just booked her for May 2019. DH and I have always sailed NCL but we are looking forward to finally trying RCI.
Keep the pics coming!

We are thinking about the Panama Canal cruise as well in 2019! It looks amazing!

Kekaha, happy you enjoyed the Escape. For a huge mass market ship which is not my taste... I enjoyed her as well. Got spoiled with the Vibe....ran like a Beyotch to get a pass....could not imagine the cruise without the Vibe.
I'm hoping Bliss will be equally great. Very curious as to how she will be in the Caribbean....but will find out in spring 2019 as I have booked a second cruise on her. Then it's onto the Sky Princess on her inaugural Oct 20, 2019. Princess....ya r what ya sail on ...then the long wait for the inaugural on Virgin Voyages....I can be a virgin again
I’m excited about the Virgin Voyages as well!
I’ll be glad when there is more info available for them.

Dr Cocktail, the thermal spa suite being included in our room was amazing!
It looks like that is the case with the YC as well for all suites which is good.
Agnes, I agree. Look for the positive and you will have more fun.

This thread is great!
Anyone know anything about the set up for the upcoming MSC Seaside?

We did our first YC this summer. People have hit the main comparisons. YC better, cheaper. YC rooms smaller - basically most are about the size of a mini-suite on NCL.
NCL will continue to lose pax to YC due to their prices but who knows, maybe it is working out for them with their upgrade advantage program.
Thanks Dex.
I agree that it may be working for NCL but I wish they would change it.
I just don’t like the idea of having to bid for my cabin or pay way too much for it.
I am hoping NCL listens to their people but glad that MSC is trying to provide a similar product and a great price.

I sailed on both within three months of each other and wrote a long review here ...

Both really excellent products.
This review is outstanding!
I’m hoping the Seaside will address most of the issues you encountered on the Divina regarding chairs and shade.
We typically sail in the Haven Spa Suites.
I’m hoping the spa on Seaside will be really nice compared the the Getaway and Escape.
Thanks again!

Thanks you all for the replies.
So far you seem to be confirming what I have been thinking.
Dr. Cocktail, I look forward to reading your reviews as well.

DH and I have cruised NCL in the Haven twice and enjoyed it very much.
We are Silver members with NCL.
The NCL cruises seem to be getting much more crowded while the prices for Haven rooms are going up dramatically on the newer ships.
We are planning to book the Seaside in the YC.
Any other Haven Cruisers tried the YC?
How does it compare?
Thanks!

Thanks, eddiffin. That's a really helpful reply.
Feeling comfortable and knowing there are other bears and non party animals out there is very important to us.
Thanks!

I haven't but I will say joining the Facebook page for RSVP has given me some helpful info.
It will probably be mentioned there before their website.

That's a good question that I don't know the answer to either.
I have heard by the end of April but unsure.
Anyone else know?

The prices don't seem that bad to me considering there is entertainment that is brought in. Also, having the entire cruise ship chartered is worth a little more to us as well.
As for the STDs, LOL.
That's the least of our worries!

Thanks so much, Cruiser Bruiser! This will give us an opportunity to check out the HAL ship since we tend to sail NCL.
Very excited!

Thank you, Boytjie!
I'll be glad when the bookings open to the general public so we can get our reservations.
Hope to see you on board!

Thanks so much for the feedback guys.
We are going to try the RSVP Caribbean cruise in 2018.
We may still sail Atlantis in the future but think for our first all gay charter RSVP will suit us best. Atlantis is still getting our money anyway since they own RSVP. LOL

Thanks for the input Patrick and garsny.
It's one of those things that I hope we will like but it's definitely a roll of the dice.

That's good to know. We've wondered how the crew on the ships react to the all gay cruise clientele.
It's good to know it's pretty positive!

That's a good point. We definitely want to choose a ship and itinerary that we like. It will be as fun as we choose to make it.

Thanks, Comboy. That is good info.
We are looking forward to trying an all gay cruise and it's good to know that Atlantis is more diverse than it appears.
