  1. We have 2 cruises booked for this year.  One in June and one in October.  However, I was going to look at some excursions but both of our bookings are gone.  Have they been canceled already or is this just a server issue?  Is anyone else getting the same problems?

  2. In a few weeks we will be sailing out of Tampa on the Paradise.  That same day there is an RCI sailing.  Carnival's terminal is listed as terminal 2.  However, I have seen other documentation that lists terminal 3 as the terminal for the Paradise.

I don't like surprises and I don't want to accidentally take an RCI cruise.  🙂

This is our first cruise out of Tampa.  Can someone more familiar with Port Tampa help me out?  Which is the correct terminal?

How   do  you  go  about  warning  them    can  you  tell  the  waiter  or  is   it  something  that  needs  to  be  done   prior  to that  nights  meal?

From what I can tell you need to tell your wait staff the previous night.  Night 1, tell them about it for night 2, etc.

  4. Since my last cruise, I have been diagnosed with diabetes.  I have a nightly  (slow) insulin and an as-needed (fast) insulin.

I have a November cruise on the Paradise and one in June on the Breeze.

For anyone else in the dead pancreas club.... Have you sailed on either of these ships and if so, how did you keep your insulin cool?  Do the mini-fridges do the trick?

  5. Hello I will be taking my first cruise on the dream in October and the Fantasy next April. I was just wondering how others determine which port of departure you use? Is it a particular ship, proximity to where you live, destinations, etc. As for now for me it's proximity to where I live. NOLA and Mobile are the 2 closest ports to me followed by Charleston Sc., Jacksonville and Orlando. I'm not much into to flying although I have a few times. Just wondering how you ladies and gentlemen choose your cruises. Cheers!

You must be from my neck of the woods. We also go by driving distance - Jax, NOLA, and Mobile. We are in the Georgia/Tennessee/Alabama corner.

  6. This is simply marketing. If mom and dad go on an adult-centric cruise, 2 tickets are sold for 1 room. Two people buy drinks and excursions. If mom and dad take their 2 kids on a family-centric cruise, 4 tickets are sold for the same single cabin. Two adults buy alcoholic drinks while the 2 kids get non-alcoholic drinks, drop some money in the arcade, and load up at Cherry-On-Top. Then you double the excursions. Leaving the kids at home and you are more likely to take a shorter cruise. Take them along and you can stay for longer periods.

It's simple economics. Parents who bring kids will spend more $.
