Thanks to all who recommended tours in Lima and Salaverry.
We met up with fellow cruiser aboard Oceania Marina 12/3/2023 Miami to Lima for a great tour booked with Tours.pe https://tours.pe/ for a great shore excursion with our small group.
Peruvian Worldview https://peruvianworldtours.com in Lima I cannot recommend enough!
The ship had two shuttles from port one to Miraflores and one dropped off at La Punta, a square about 15’ away. Peruvian stayed in touch and traveled to get us when they couldn’t pick up at the gate. The tour itself with our guide, Pamela, was wonderful ending with the Magic Fountains!Taxidatum https://taxidatum.com/arranged our driver for disembarking (again transferred to La Punta) who took us to Pullachama and the beautifully landscaped Larco Museum before dropping us off at the airport.

We are booked on a cruise that ends in Lima, our flight to Miami departs at 23:15. Any suggestions how to utilise the time. Bag storage, tour that will take luggage?????
Looking for a similar plan. Did you book a tour and if so can you share the info?
Thank you,

Did you go? Deciding between this course and Buccaneer course?
thanks!
Hi Jen,
yes we got a taxi to take us there.
I wouldn’t say it was in the best shape as courses go, rental clubs were rough, not much around. Enjoyed the experience but guessing Buccaneer would be the better course. Hope it helps?
I probably have pics if you want to email me.

Did two tours with ItalyEU, both were excellent (Positano, Sorrento, Pompeii including a guide IN Pompeii).
I wouldn’t hesitate to tour with them.

Just back from Celebrity Reflection 10 night Italy, Greece, Croatia.
Used ItalyEU tours for two ports and were very pleased.
Angela, our guide for Positano, Sorrento,Pompeii was delightful!
ItalyEU tour also INCLUDED a separate guide in Pompeii!
The driver did a wonderful job and I can recommend this tour highly! It was wonderful, instructions were clearly and return to ship was perfect! We also used ItalyEU for Pisa/Lucca and once again, perfect. Stefanno served as our driver and guide and did a great job on both counts.
He was extremely cautious returning us to port (I know that’s a concern for folks booking private tours).I would not hesitate to tour with them again.

Regarding getting Euros…..we are catching a cruise tomorrow out of Civitavecchia. Agree with above. We use a no transaction fee credit card for purchases and get money from an ATM using a debit card for food and beverage (cash).
Before we departed, we made sure our debit cards had cash…we have two banks…I carry one debit card and DH carries the other debit card.
We landed at the airport in Rome. There was an ATM in the baggage area. So while DH got the bags, I used the machine to get Euros. Today we stopped at a local bank machine and used the debit cards to get a few more euros to make sure we had the cash on hand while we cruised. Cash will stay in the safe and we only take enough for day expenses at each port. (Cautious about carrying too much cash). The one thing I noticed after we put in the amount we wanted to get out, there were two selections…one said “with conversion rate” and the other button “continue without conversion rate”. I had not noticed that the first time I used the ATM. The “fee” with the conversion rate was higher than the 5 Euro flat fee for using the ATM. So for now on, we will get any more cash without the conversion rate and the US bank will convert the euro at the going bank rate which today is bout one to one.
Thank you, very helpful

Dee, wondering if you did a kayak trip in Dubrovnik and how it was?

Thanks to all who posted about this gentleman’ s tour.
We had a wonderful experience taking our private (he had cancelations due to all the flight issues that impacted our cruise).
Lawerence was wonderful with all communications and we easily found him exactly as he outlined.
Even though it was just two of us Lawerence conducted the entire tour as planned and included a “drive through” pineapple tasting that I will never forget.
The van was comfortable and the tour informative and fun.
Please consider Lawerence of Antigua if you are fortunate enough to visit his beautiful home island.- 1

Thanks to anyone for advice.

Looking for any info or experience trying to golf while in port.
Seems like taxi (8.8 miles 25’) arranged at the pier is the best approach.
Any advice appreciated.
TIA

Thanks so much. We will look forward to your feedback.
We have E701 booked for 15 days in the Fall.
Enjoy your cruise,
Denise
Denise,
I was in E701 Regal Baltic April 30 and haven't posted my full review yet. I have a video of the door if you want to email me. I wasn't more disturbed by the sound of the door any more than the sounds from neighboring cabin doors shutting and people talking in the hallway. If I had to describe the sound I would compare it to what it sounds like on a plane when the flight attendant shuts the over head nearby. It does creak before it shuts. My mom is a light sleeper and wasn't disturbed. The location near the aft elevators was great for us for the Allegro dining room and Horizon Court.

I thought the doors were the heavy automatic type, not people causing the "slamming"
I am in E701 next month and will let you know about my experience.

I see Regal is headed to dry dock next month. Does anyone know if it's mechanical or aesthetic too?

Jonathan,
Some recently posted the schedule and what was taking place. One of the things on there was opening of the central stair case but I can't recall the rest. Sorry I can't find the link right now.

Thanks for the post, glad you are enjoying your trip.

Forgot to mention that we really loved using the messenger app for Princess at Sea instead of having to carry the Patter with us, we could always access it from our iPhones. We also liked being able to message one another as well.

Thanks, good to know about the app.

I'm not Danish Viking, but -
In May 2015, after disembarking at Oceankaj, we purchased tickets from the bus driver and took the bus (with our luggage) to Norreport station. We were told that single ride bus tickets were available for purchase from the bus driver.
This website might not be the best, but does have useful info.

Stockholm via the archipelago is one of our most treasured cruising experiences. Oslo is pretty too

Thanks Sunsetbeachgal (probably more snow than beach today?) As I have no frame of reference for seeing the archipelago I will certainly enjoy the sail into Oslo.

Thank you, I think I understand now as well.

Thank you for the cabin info. I’ve been searching for deck 4 Insignia reviews so appreciate the info especially about the reception area.
