We had a group of 13 and did the Total Island Experience tour which was about 6 hours with Ricky's Mini bus tours last August
There are other options
Check his website for info
He was great! Our whole group enjoyed the day!

The bus is a bit easier. If you take the tube, you will need to change trains at Hammersmith and handle your own luggage, on the coach, you will be able to see where you are going, the driver will stow your bags and you are guaranteed a seat.
Travelling with luggage - No contest in my view.
Bob++ - are you referring to a specific bus?

I was looking at the glass bottom boat and snorkel excursions in Bermuda on the Dawn on a Tuesday which is the day we depart from Bermuda.
Site says tour is 4 hours and leaves at 1:30.
However the ship is listed as sailing at 5:30.
Which piece of info is incorrect??

Thanks for the tip on the beach ball! I take one on the plane with me for long flights since I have short legs. Taking one on the cruise is a great idea!

Hi
Any recommendations for transportation to Black Falcon port from Enfield CT area - 6 passengers up and 10 passengers back?
Thoughts On Flat Rate Logan Express?
Thanks!

Hi
Wondering how many people are in a small group excursion vs a regular RCCL excursion generally?
We are looking at a tour to Santiago de Compostela and are trying to decide if the size difference is worth the extra $$
Thanks!

We stayed at the Doubletree Amsterdam Centraal Station in December. It is right next to the train station and walking distance to Anne Frank and most of the main areas of Amsterdam. And it is a beautiful hotel with great staff and a delish breakfast buffet!

Enjoying following your adventures!!
How do you get an officer to dine with you? Is it something you mention to the Maitre D'?
-
How does this work with Bermuda where you are docked in the same port for 3 days? Just 1 - $50 credit?

We are arriving at 11a from the US on the day of embarkation - wish us good luck and good traffic karma! LOL
(We checked with the cruise line and they accept people arriving on flights as late as 11:30 for their transfers!)

This will be my first time with RCI in over 10 years- we will be on Indy in May to the Canaries- do we need to do the same amount of scheduling for shows and specialty dining as is being discussed here?
Thanks to everyone posting on these boards - I appreciate the information!

Your pictures are amazing!! The scenery is beautiful and your pics looks so professional! Can't wait for our trip coming up in a few weeks! Thanks for the review

We were in St Thomas last week on the Glory and did the helmet dive at Coral World. I love to snorkel and prefer from the beach because i wear glasses so i like the shallow water. I love the helmet dive! More expensive option but amazing amount of fish and coral all so close up and with my glasses on. Coral world is somewhat attached to Coki beach and we could see that the beach was quite crowded by the time we were done with our "dive"
I have also been to Trunk Bay (via a ship excursion as i went by myself) and really enjoyed the snorkeling there . It was not very crowded the day i was there (in Feb2012) but i don't recall how many ships were in port that day

We were just there last week on the Glory and you had to wait until you arrived on half Moon Cay to rent the clamshell ($25 for the day) - this actually saved me $25 bc we didn't end up needing it. We just moved a couple of chairs into the shade.
They are located all along the beach - not just in one section
We were down at the end of the beach near the tenders and snorkel area and there were plenty even arriving on a later tender

Do you have to rent a cabana to use the transportation?
-
I haven't stayed there but we parked for our last cruise (I'm local and they had a good rate for the company I work for) however it is a LONG way from the port - about a $30 cab ride
We decided not to wait for the shuttle to the port and I don't think they had a shuttle back
Nice hotel - near the airport - not near south beach
-
Ha- I just saw this and immediately thought of all of my "friends" at Cruise Critic!
Valid through December 15, 2014

I would suggest avoiding Downtown Disney - traffic and parking are horrible with all of the construction. Drive a little north through the beach area near Kennedy Space Center or Cocoa Beach area is always fun
Driving in Leknes/Lofoten
in Northern Europe & Baltic Sea

We were there last week and rented from Europcar. We had the car delivered to the port and dropped it off there as well- for an additional fee of course. (Approx $30 I think)
Avis has that option as well as someone mentioned it in a previous post and we saw Avis cars there.
We docked at 6 and had to tender. We arrived at the port a little before 8 and had to wait for the people from the car company. We were on our way by 8:30.
We drove all the way to the village of A and wandered our way back. We had to be back by 4:30 and had time to do what we wanted.
The key is to get out and going and go out as far as you want and work your way back to avoid the traffic and your busses. There are a couple of 1 lane bridges and on our way back passed quite a line up of traffic headed the other way. (thank you to previous posters for this advice!)
