Hi all!

I was on the Southward in 1979. I was 23, went by myself and was with the Singleworld group. I met some really nice people from New York and California. I took a later vacation to California and saw two of the ladies I met on the cruise. That was great!

The ship left from Miami and went to Cozumel, Mexico, Georgetown, Grand Cayman Island, Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Freeport, Bahamas.

I remember being in the dining room and watching the ship rock back and forth. That was a bit disorienting. I didn't get seasick but that was kind of a strange sensation. I do remember one evening in which the seas were a bit choppy and the crew spread sick bags everywhere.

I remember some of us from the Singleworld party were in the disco and got kicked out because someone brought a bottle of wine up there.
