  1. Anyone having issues with packages not showing up properly on Android?  On our iPhones, my wife and I show the premier package for our upcoming cruise.  My kids are booked with the same package but on their Android phones, it’s only showing as them having the Plus package.  I’m sure it’s fine, but it’s just odd.

Its one of the highest earning scams for the cruise ship.

Our last three cruises, we walked off with 274, 247 and 157 photos, plus the digital copies. We had friends and family on the first two cruises, so we were able to get a lot of photos with them.

Based on these numbers, we paid $0.73, $0.81 and $1.27 per photo on each cruise. Sounds like I scammed them.

lol oh, no! I didn't even notice that. No one even busted my chops about it! I am an awful at typing as you can tell.

I was going to make a smart aleck comment from Harry Potter about the typo, but decided not to.

  4. We cruise as a large group and each of the cabin's usually gets the package.  There are photo areas set up most nights and all the ladies enjoy getting their pictures taken.  We also had individual family photos and all the kids take group photos.  When you include the embarkation, gangplank and dining room photos, there are plenty of pictures to be had.

On our last two group cruises, we came home with 174 and 197 pictures, for just our cabin.  My wife and I took a cruise, just the two of us, for our anniversary and came home with 75 photos.  If you want to take photos, you can easily make it worth the money.

The internet frustration carrys on with it being down several times today again.

Ha remember when they said it would be ready in December 2017?

    IMO.....

I don’t see the Medallion installation being completed by December. They only have a small section of one deck (Lido forward ) done and no other movement that I have seen since boarding 10 days ago. 🙁

Thanks for all the updates, Keith.

One question, when you say Lido forward, do you know if it is all the way forward, or just the original block of Medallion cabins (200's and some 300's)?  We have a forward balcony, L101, starting next Sunday.  Thanks.

  6. Thanks for the advice everyone. While I was trying desperately to find a way to make it work, the realization that one issue like a flat tire would have us miss the ship was enough to make up our mind.

We arranged for several friends to go to the performance to support our kids and FaceTime the live event and send us videos and for saving.

It pains us to miss the event, as it is the last one before my daughter graduates high school in the spring, but with friends there to support her, we realized that potentially missing the ship to see her 3-4 minute monologue doesn’t make sense.

Thanks again for all the advice. It helped let our heads outweigh our hearts.

  7. Since you are driving to the port rather than flying it’s a little less nerve wracking, although hoping you aren’t driving a long distance straight through. Flying I would be a nervous wreck to get in late!

It would be a long drive (1200 miles) straight through, but we will have 2 drivers and we are used to long hauls to Florida.

Luckily, we will be passing through the traffic trouble areas when most people are sleeping.

Rough estimates have us getting to the port between 12:30 and 1:00, which gives us about 2 hours buffer for unforeseen events.

  8. Dumb / odd question warning:

I did a brief search and didn’t see anything on this.

My DW and I are sailing on the Regal Princess next month sailing from Fort Lauderdale. We found out today that my daughter has a school performance that, potentially, may make it so that we will be getting into town late. We are usually at the port by 10am, but that may not happen this time.

I read that Princess and immigration would like (require) everyone “checked in” 90 minutes prior to sailing. We have completed the online check in already, if that matters.

My question is, what is the latest time we can get to the port and still be permitted to board?

    Thanks in advance.

  9. I am hoping with them knowing what the issues were, they now can get the stuff installed a little quicker. If there any features I would like by the time it comes around, but I am not counting on it, is the ability toorder drinks and some food when sitting by the pool. Also wouldn't mind the ability for it to work at checkin. We are in a mini suite on Aloha deck, so I am keeping my fingers crosses

We are in a Deluxe Balcony on Lido. I’m hoping that, since half of Lido is already ***** ready, that we get word that we’ll be included too

  10. Yes, please keep us informed. I am on the Nov 18 sailing. We have paid in full. If they are 100%, then i think i would have been notified that we were getting *****.

We are on the same voyage as you. I am hoping that, with how fast they were able to roll out the service to each deck (one new deck per week starting the week after we left the CB), that we may have a chance at using the ***** in November. To what degree the functionality of the ***** is working is a different story.
