  1. You can text one of two ways:

Don't buy VOOM and use AT&T Cellular at Sea. AT&T charges: $0.50 per text sent, free to receive texts, voice calls are $2.49 per minute and data is very expensive, so I would plan on no data this way. No charges from the ship.

Buy VOOM for the number of devices you want online at the same time. If you have WiFi calling enabled on your phones, the phones will be fully functional (voice, text, data) with no charges from AT&T. If you can't enable WIFi calling, then you will have to use an internet messaging app, like iMessage or WhatsApp to text.

    Thanks

  2. If we buy the Voom while on the Anthem (for one device) - do we also have to set up something from our provider AT&T for a message/calling package too? For instance, if my husband and I want to text each other on the ship or if we need to text anyone back home? Will we have to buy the Voom for each of our devices? AT&T says we get free incoming texts, but cost to text out.

  3. We haven't been on a cruise in years, but we are going back on in August. Yeah. We like to book excursions other than RCL just by doing some research. Last time we were in Cozumel, we did a day pass for all of us at the resort "Nachi Cocum". It was the best relaxing day. We practically had the entire resort to ourselves. Now this was a few years ago, so now sure how it is today. Good luck.

  4. What would everone recommend if you are docking in St. Thomas and just want a good beach day, snorkeling not important? I've heard such great things about heading over to St. John and would try that if it's worth it but if a decent beach can be had on St. Thomas maybe we'll stick to that?

We've been to St. John's 3 times - it takes awhile to get there. The actual beach is small with no good lounge chairs (only small sand chairs) Last time we stayed on St. Thomas and went to Sapphire Bay Beach - beautiful. If you ask the taxi drivers, that's where they tell you to go. Megans Bay is overrated and too crowded. We had Sapphire Bay to ourselves!
