I bid $75 to upgrade to an ocean view.  The website called this a weak bid, but three weeks before the cruise they accepted it. 

Just got off of the RC Jewel of the Seas, where security confiscated my power strip (which I have always considered as standard equipment for a cruise) and where towels had to be checked out, even on sea days, with the threat of a $25 charge if not returned.  I’m very curious if these things happen on any other cruise line?   This was my 13th cruise and I have never experienced these two issues.

To any and all Cozumel experts: Is it possible to obtain a Quintana Roo license plate? The price at Plate Hut is $125 but come on! We purchased a Cayman Islands plate for $10 at their license bureau, brand new. Will the Mexican authorities sell you a plate? If not, is there any other way of getting one?

By the way, we collect plates and hang them in our garage. It's a cheap (usually) but nice souvenir.
