Will be looking for kiddos willing to rehome a duckie!

I am on the ship starting Oct 7! Those are so cute! I have a few I am bringing too. I have plain unicorns & some blinged out ones for crew & a couple to hide. Getting closer - so excited for this cruise!

One thing to note about Radiance and a canal transit.   They block access to the outdoor promenade aft deck 5 area.

These bollards  or whatever is the proper name on the sides near the aft were used for the steel cables from the mules.  There was a lot of worn paint chips and bare metal showing so they would be a hazzard to guests.  I'm assuming a lot of tension is on the cables so a safety risk.

Thank you for all your wonderful pictures & review. I am going solo (for 1st time) in Oct. Leaving SanDiego to Tampa though. Can’t wait!

Hi everyone.  We're also onboard for this cruise and the next.  Internet has been slow today.

    1. Everyone was moved from traditional to mtd. Noticed on our seapass card and dh went to maitre d'  he explained they were using traditional dining for unvaxed and mixed seating.  We have 8 pm mtd and have asked same table and waiter.  Went to Chef's Table last so we will see how it works.

Chef's Table is normally 16 restricted to 8 but they had 7 when they agreed to add us to make 9.  Great time. More courses than I remember.  Very good about accommodating food issues,  but ad vise letting them know in advance,  which we did.

    2.  Seemed crowded at NYE celebrations so we stayed on our deck, 9, and watched from there. Dh did head to deck 11 and ,out his party hat!

    3.  Did a waxing after boarding and a mani/pedi yesterday,  which ran late. The lady before me messed up her nails. The girl who took care of me said she gets her booster next week.

    4. I've noticed that most of the crew are double masked, N95 and blue Royal mask over it.  Most people are pretty good about masks but most are not observing limits on elevators!  As to elevators someone didn't change Wednesday to Thursday!   Fixed by Friday!

    5. Noticed in today's compass that crew will no longer be setting room service trays, that they will be on a trolley outside your cabin.  Can't confirm as we went brunch at Tides.

Smooth seas though rain predicted for tonight.

    Any Questions?

We will be on Jewel in 2 weeks, as long as we pass the home test before we fly and then pass the test at Miami airport to give to RC. Suitcases are out and we are getting very excited! Is there a band in the Centrum? We love to dance. Have you seen the piano man in the Schooner Bar? Thanks for taking the time to do this. Been living thru everyone's blogs!

    HI all!

NanaP11398 ~ I took a test there at Nomi Health on Nov 13th & had made an appointment online a couple of days in advance. The website was mdc.nomihealth.com/signup/MIA. It was in the south terminal, Concourse H 2 nd level door 20. I had to have the PCR to return to Canada after my cruise & it went fine, results in 15 minutes or so at a cost of $179 cards, no cash. The phone numbers are 1-833-685-0700 or 305-280-0694.

    Hope this helps.

    Stay safe.

    ~ Jo ~ 😊

Thank you very much. We are flying Delta and will be in the south terminal.

  5. We just booked Jewel of the Seas and been looking at deck plans. It appears that Cafe Lattetudes will be my go to for Lattes! I saw they offer a coffee card for 15 cups. Can my husband & I share this card? Is it good for a certain size beverage? Can we get anything or is it good for only certain drinks? Thanks for your help! We made Diamond on our last cruise and I believe we will not get the beverage pkg (right now it's $53pp) and just pay for extra drinks. I saw the coffee card and water in the room that i am considering getting those, and then just a la carte the rest.

  6. We are on Oasis next week and really enjoying your review - thanks for doing this! Our cabin will be a few doors down from yours so we are happy to read you are enjoying this location. Then I find out that Mario is on board - my sister & I met him last year on Adventure OTS at the Top Tier event. We did see him a few other times but didn’t bother him.  Thanks for bringing us along!

    Hey guys!

So I have some exciting news!

I found out last night that I'm going to be transferred to Oasis Of The Seas in 3 weeks time. This is a big step up for me, and a lot more responsibility is going to be put on me - but I'm excited for this challenge.

I'll be flying out to Spain to join the ship, and then crossing back to America for the beginning of the Caribbean season.

Let me know if any of you will be on Oasis! I look forward to meeting you!

Congratulations!!! I'll be on her end of January. Also THE BEST piano man will be on Oasis the end of January too! His name is Keith Retson-Spalding (from Canada)  I saw him on Adventure last year & had so much fun!

Is he for sure done?  I agree, he's the best!  So much fun!  They should give him more space.  We talked quite a bit at the end of his shows plus while playing shuffleboard so did get some insight.

He told us RC didn’t renew his contract so he is going to Carnival for a while. I believe he goes to 18 & then he is done. We were part of 10! His FB page has info on it. I cruised with my sister & we were there every night, except Wednesday because Keith was off. We enjoyed hearing Kesha as well. Great time! We laughed, meowed, danced, and asked about Alice! Lol! A great entertainer who kept the party in full speed! We found him the 1st night as we were walking through & that was it!

I LOVE a good piano man - do you know when in April Keith leaves ?? We sail April 7th so hoping we get to enjoy him !!

I read on his FB page he was leaving RC April 1st. (His name is Keith Retson-Spalding) He told us RC didn’t renew him so he was going to Carnival. Big mistake for RC! Standing room only every night. People were on the stairs trying to see! We had sooo much fun with him! Sorry you will miss him 😞

How cool to meet Mario! He must bounce around from ship to ship instead of staying on the same ship for months at a time.

He was on a back to back on Adventure. He spoke in the Top Tier event & mentioned he prefers the smaller ships. He likes to see the ocean. I agree with him!  The mega ships are cool but I prefer the smaller ships. I like the lower outside decks and being able to see the ocean from most venues. He said he is on land 2 weeks a year & hates it! He was in the Windjammer the last night (having the Mongolian stir-fry, which was excellent) and the waiter there said Mario knows everyone. He was surprised I knew it was Mario. He said Mario is a real nice guy. It was fun meeting him.

  11. I was also on this cruise and had a wonderful time! Traveled with my sister & spent most evenings in the Schooner Bar with Keith, the piano guy. SO FUNNY! He is on Adventure till April & then going to Carnival. Big mistake for RC not to keep him. The bar was packed every night. He played from 9:15/9:30 until 1:00 anyway with no breaks! Super Mario was on board too. He has been cruising for 19 years & cruises 50 weeks a year! We also went to Maho but left after the Delta plane landed. Much better ride back to the ship. Glad we did it, but probably won’t go again if there are many ships in port. It was very crowded. Here’s us with Mario!
