I have eaten at the Tuscan Grille twice on the Reflection and found it was the best meal I ate on the entire cruise. The entree meats were excellent!
-
They had two shuttles back in September. There will be alot of other passengers using Alamo as well.
-
I have stayed at Cambria Suites near Port Everglades. Great location, nice rooms and very convenient. Great value!

Is there a charge for wifi only? If true, you can use Whats app for phone calls,

Sailed on the Oasis in September. Got a great deal and stayed in a suite. The ship was nice but I would have to say it was considerably more crowded than any Celebrity cruise I have sailed. Much better experience for families than Celebrity but the food was mediocre at best. You can't go wrong with either but I continue to prefer the Celebrity brand, IMHO

I had a reservation at Country Inn & Suites in Port Canaveral for this Saturday. They told me today that they anticipate reopening in one week. We ended up getting a room in Orlando as the Radisson was experiencing the same issues..

Sorry for sinking to the level of criticizing people. It may be hard to understand the magnitude of what the people of Florida are facing. It is hard to fathom people who are so selfish to think only about themselves. Lucywestie, I have a flight scheduled for Thursday to help those who are affected. I too love to cruise, but I know what is truly important. Once again, I am sending postive thoughts to those in the path of Irma as well as those people in Texas affected by Harvey. It also seems to me that RCCL is trying to do right for their passengers. Enough said.

Grandgeezer, I have NO sympathy for you.

Get real people!!!!! People's lives and property will be affected adversely by this massive storm. There are more important things than having your cruise cut short! My suggestion would be to channel your energy towards prayers for those who live in the path of destruction.
-
Although there is a great probability that the cruise that I have booked for next weekend will be impacted, I would like to start a thread to pray for those people in the Caribbean and Florida whose lives will be severely affected by this unprecedented and dangerous hurricane. Personally,I have three family members in South Florida who are in the path of Hurricane Irma and there are millions more out there. My hope is that by some miracle that this storm will not make landfall.I am praying or all of you!

Some of the perks of sailing in a royal class suite include a concierge, unlimited access to the Coastal Kitchen, the suite lounge, free Voom, two sinks and a bathtub, larger balconies and reserved seating at all of the shows. I am sailing with a group of three and we were able to get a suite for a great price. Have a great cruise!

Thanks for the info. Any other suggestions? St. Johns looks like fun but it gets costly for three and not alot of time to enjoy the beach. I was looking at Emerald Beach because it is close but I have read about lack of services and the beach being full of trash.
-
I have read great things about the beach at Secret Harbour. I am looking for a scenic beach with great snorkeling. Can anyone tell me the cost of a taxi ( 3 people ) and the time it takes to get there. Leaving this weekend so I need a quick suggestion. I am open to a better suggestion if anyone has a better idea.:)

I have cruised both lines and find that you can't go wrong choosing either one. I do find the food to be a little better on Celebrity and the ships on Celebrity seem to allow for more room per passenger. Have fun!:D

The car rental for one day was $65.00 ( picked up in FLL and dropped off in MIA). The shuttle was free.
-
We are flying into Ft. Lauderdale for our Reflection cruise on the 1st. Checked with Alamo and they do provide shuttle service from Miami Airport to the cruise terminals. I believe it cost me about $65.00 total

I have really enjoyed the videos of the Reflection. I will be sailing on her March 1st. There is also another great review of the Reflection on thepreismans.com which has all the menus and drink prices as well as some suggestions for shore excursions. Half the fun of cruising is sharing the experience with others! I would love to hear some suggestions for a best beach on St. Thomas.:D
-
Although this will be my 1st S Class cruise on Celebrity, I have found the main differences between the two cruise lines to be the level of space per person on the Celebrity ships and the small personal details that make a vacation special. Both cruise lines provide a memorable experience. I can't wait to check out the Reflection!

I think I will stick with the larger balcony rather than upgrading to the concierge level cabin. More points does nothing for me.;)
-
Thanks! It's too bad that Celebrity doesn't make it easy to get this info.
-
Thanks for that info. I am in 9270. It looks like that would be one of the bigger balconies!
-
I am currently booked in a category 1A on the Reflection and I was told that the verandas were bigger because of the angles of the ship. Has anyone booked one of these cabins and can you tell me if this is true? I can get a concierge veranda for $20 more for the cabin. Is this a better deal?

That sailboat charter looks like fun but probably not in my budget:)

I have been to St. Thomas several times and have done the usual shopping. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for something extraordinary shore excursions to do with my two daughters ( ages 23 & 18 ).

Thanks so much for the great review of your cruise and the information of all the things to do at each of the ports. We will be sailing on the Millennium August 19, 2024 after a 10 day trip on the Beyond in February. Do you suggest doing any of the ship tours or just hiring local guides? I will use your review to help plan our 12 day Best of Japan cruise.
