  1. Hi,

I should be able to find this information easily but sadly cannot. Can anyone tell me which decks have covered balconies?  Or is it individual to each minisuite?

And, hypothetically if you had to chose between a premium balcony on the rear of the ship facing the wake or a standard minisuite which would you go for?

    Thank you !

  2. Agree with Thrak. We just did an Alaskan cruise with my in laws...MIL has severe cardiac issues and is unable to ambulate well due to very poor heart function. We rented a scooter which was great. FIL has severe balance issues and mild cognitive decline. My Husbands 4 siblings attended as well. We had some rough seas for the first day and a half. Lots of sea sickness, my in laws could not leave their room. We became the primary care givers, and the rest of the family did their own thing a majority of the time.

The handicapped minisuite they had was fantastic. However, if we had to assist with toileting, transfers to and from bed the whole time it would have been impossible. It sounds great that there are lifts to rent, etc; however if you have no one medical in your party it is just very, very difficult. This is speaking as a RN and MD.

  3. I know the official rules from the Princess website regarding the $15 dollar corkage fee for everything over one bottle per person brought on board....

On previous cruises we have brought a full case onboard to consume with family and have never been charged. Our last cruise was 3 years ago, so I am wondering what people are experiencing with recent trips.

Also, if one purchases the beverage package can you get a whole bottle of wine sent to your room?

    Thanks!

  4. I am wondering what other's experiences have been bringing wine on board at this port. On many other FLL embarkations we have brought 12 to 16 bottles in our checked luggage without a problem. Never paid a corkage fee and had the luxury of having plenty of wine in our rooms for consumption during the day and evening on our balcony. Reading these message boards ( which is a new find for me) is causing me some concern. Just trying to plan ahead for a March cruise. Thanks!
