I will be traveling to Barcelona in May with family and going on the Norweigan Epic Cruise on May 25th. I will be arriving two days early so that we can appreciate the city however my question is especially for those seasoned travelers who has been in this part of this world to provide some advice. It appears the flights have been very $$$, I have seen tickets from $1330 to 1500 (and this appears to be the price). I am not sure to purchase the airfares now or closer to the departure date, however I am concern it may increase.

Another question is, that the ship docks at 0600am and if I book a flight for 1025 am would that be cutting it close or will it be possible to get there at least by 0800am?

Information I gathered is that the airport is 20KM which is 12 miles away from port. If we port by 0600 will customers be able to disembark immediately after? Please help....

The threads on Europe's cruises have been very informative especially with dealing with the Euros, using the ATM's, contacting ones own banks. This is going to be exciting trip.
