I have some friends who used their FCC from a cancelled April cruise to a Nov 1st cruise which is now canceled
They are fed up and want a refund, I am wondering what or how they will figure out the refund amount.
If the FCC was $700 will that be refunded or will Royal issue another FCC and refund the difference.
I spoke with a rep a few weeks ago about this since I am in tne same boat so to speak....They said if Royal cancels then you can get a refund not it you cancel. I already filled out the form to get mine......

We are booked on Anthem on 11/29/20 checked in as soon as it opened the other day and the earliest boarding time was 2:30. The ship is supposed to sail at 3. There were check in times till 5:30. There are only 16 people on the roll call on here and about 50 on other site and plenty of cabins left. Trying to figure out what is going on. Hopeing this sailing goes but if it's not would like it to get cancelled soon. This time around we will take refund thus is our 4th try to go so if is ends up not happening I would rather wait and see what happens I stead of rebooking again.

An obstructed view is still better than the view from an inside cabin especially if its the same price or cheaper. I had an obstructed view balcony on NOS and loved it would do it again in a hartbeat.
P.S.
NOS is a great ship, she was our first. Have a great time!!

Your stateroom has bed by the balcony. Note that the stateroom next to you, 1034, has a square on the deck plans which annotates a fold out sofa bed. All those sofa beds have bed by the bath because the sofa beds are always near the balcony. As all staterooms alternate between bed by bath/balcony/bath/balcony, etc, being next door, you will have bed by balcony.
Thanks for the help, thats what we were hoping for:D

We are sailing on the Silhouette next Dec. Is there an easy way to tell whether the bed or the sofa is near the balcony? We will be in Cabin 1030

DH and I like cruising as a form of vacation (we do more land trips however). He could go on a cruise to nowhere and be happy. He just likes to be on a ship. I couldn't do that. I cruise as an enjoyable method to get to different ports.
How about you?
DW loves less stops and more sea days and just being on the ship while I love being on the ship I love cruising as a way to see new locations so I want more ports than see days. But any day on a cruise whether at sea or in port is a good day:D

What i really mean is, how does departure from a pre cruise hotel at FL look like from 9:30-12noon?Are taxi's and Uber readily available? Are people jockeying for position to board a shuttle? I'm asking this for my sis in law and friends who are staying at a hotel in 17th st., while me and the fam are staying at Las Olas, I'm setup w/ mine, but they still can't decide whether to rent a car, book private,taxi/Uber(if they're easy to catch)or hotel shuttle(as long as its organized and civil).
excess:
Coral Princess,Carnival Conquest and Oasis have embarkations that day.
Thanks in advance in behalf of Christina and friends[emoji846]
We stayed at the Hilton Marina in Ft Lauderdale last Dec and checked out around 9:30 and there were a line of taxis outside waiting. Checkout desk at hotel to dropping luggage of at ship in just over 5 minutes....

Thanks for the great review and pictures. We just booked on the Explorer of the Seas 7688, aft corner. Looks like our room will be almost the same as yours. We need to know about the hammock! Did you bring that? Or was it supplied by the ship? might make that relaxing picture of you in it my screen saver! ha
You have to bring your own. I picked one up on Ebay for $12 and it fold very .

Table numbers can change cruise to cruise. If you have My Time dining, you can easily get a table for two by requesting it when you arrive at the dining room. If you have traditional dining, request a table for two from rcldining@rccl.com.
We used the above email in late Oct for our Dec cruise to request a table for 2 in the mdr and get a response within 2 or 3 days with our table number and confirmation that it was a table for 2:D

Hi,
I sailed Independence and we scored an "obstructed" view
corner aft balcony.
Wide open in back Some ship beam obstruction with a large porthole on side.
Balcony was HUGE with loungers and chairs.
Does Navigator have these...Say cabin 7388 and 7688.
Is this a similar setup to the Independence?
Thanks
Kerri
This link is a review I did of our Dec cruise on NOS in room 7688 with pics http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2290644

I live near Tampa. Oasis of the Seas is sailing tomorrow, probably with lots of empty cabins due to the snow conditions in the East.
Is it wishful thinking to think I could show up with a suitcase and passport and book a cabin tomorrow?
What a dream that would be.
Thanks.
Judy
The wife of someone I work with at least 3-4 times a years goes to the port day of sailing without a reservation and 99% time gets on a ship. Can't be picky about location/room type but it never hurts to try.

What is the earliest time for embarkation on the 6 night Navigator?
We were on the 6 day 12/6/15 and it was just after 11 that they let us on. At 10:30 there was a long line still on board trying to get off.
-
I guess it was just one formal night. We didn't eat in the main dining room on Friday but I did see a lot of people dressed up so I just assumed.
-
Thanks for posting compasses. Can you tell me the order of the menus? Also did u have one formal night or two?
I really don't remember the order other than there was roast beef the night we sailed and Thurs night and lobster tails where Thurs night. Formal nights where Mon and Fri.
Enjoy your trip, we can't wait to go another......
