A friend put a deposit on the Legendary Mediterranean while we were on the GWV. At that time they hadn’t released the final itinerary yet. Is it open for public bookings yet? If so the itinerary must be out!

Hi guys, welcome home!!  I tried emailing you but got rejected…just wanted to say hi and see how you enjoyed your last 6 months.  Lina

  2. Our last two stop on our next cruise in April 2017 will be Dubai and finishing Abu Dhabi. We would like to tour Abu Dhabi when we get off the ship but what can we do with the luggages? I understand it’s an easy DIY port, maybe doing the HOHO bus. I would consider a private tour if the tour company can also transfer us to Dubai late that afternoon for a 3 day post cruise stay in Dubai.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  3. The 18 day (actually 19 day with the date line) Tahitian Treasures. They usually have a similar itinerary in the opposite direction in the fall (not released yet), but typically this itinerary has one extra stop in Hawaii, not to mention, I'd rather have the longest flight at the beginning rather than at the end. If the fall itinerary ends up being more appealing, we can always switch once they release it.

Ah! love that itinerary, we did that April 2013 minus Hilo. I know what you mean by the flight. We finished another transpacific last April ending in Vancouver, only an hour flight home from there...loved it!

  4. The $CDN is slightly better against the Euro than a year or two ago. It only costs $152CDN to buy a Euro which is lower than past years. Europe is on my horizon for 2016 / 2017 leisure travel.

Our upcoming TA and European cruise is this April so been monitoring the euros since the beginning of this year which was at 1.52. Yesterday the exchange rate was 1.64. The best exchange for euros was spring of 2013 at 1.27 Our next cruise after this will be the British Isle this August and the exchange for the pound is 2.12. Ouch!!

  5. We booked a cruise on a prior one and got the OBC plus pick one of the 123 perks. Last week we changed our reservation to one that had the all inclusive and were able to keep our prior OBC plus get the one included with the all inclusive!

Thanks for your feedback. It's the third promo of $250 discount p/p that I have to give up. I can keep my OBC and the all inclusive.

  6. I have a reservation with a $350 OBC. This reservation now has a $250 discount p/p but the total price still has gone up $200 p/p. When this booking was made the promo at that time was pick 1 of the 123. Today's promo is the all inclusive. Am I correct to say that if I change this reservation at today's rate I would lose the $350 OBC or not get the $250 discount because Celebrity do not give out more than 2 promotions? Is booking on board with an OBC a promo?

  7. Yes you can drink anywhere on the ship without corkage fees. Not sure how they know, I assume they probably ask at dinner, or maybe recognize the label of the wine as one of those they sell on board. Perhaps they affix some sort of label, but I can't say for certain. Or maybe they check the guest record inconspicuously while you dine to see if you had a gift before charging the corkage fee.

There are also times they set up "stands" and sell full bottle of wines outside the buffet for discounted pricing.

Likely they just know the brands available on board.

Just off the phone with Celebrity...I was going to buy a couple of bottles of wine thru Gifts by Celebrity and was told that there will be a $25 corkage fee if it was taken to the dining room. How can I make sure that wont happen before I sent the bottle to the dining room?

  8. I have wondered how they sort all the laundry out...do they put one person's laundry in a big laundry first before they throw it in the load with other people's laundry? How do they know whos underwear is whos?

  9. Any recommendations for a tour guide in Koashiung? We will be there in April 2015 on the Millennium and I have searched for a reputable guide to no avail. The ships tour did not look too appealing.

What did everyone do when they were in Koashiung? Suggestions/recommendations are welcomed and appreciated.

  10. I believe there was talk earlier and I hate to have this repeated but since "search" is still unavailable.. if someone can briefly explain if there is a promotion offered and I booked after Aug 2013, can I obtain this promotion at the rate that I booked or at the prevailing rate?

Sorry heading should read Aug 2013

  11. Hi all:

I have booked the Reflection for a Caribbean cruise later this year. I currently have 1610. 1552 is available as are a few hump cabins on deck 12. I'm worried about that deck 12 will be too noisy for us to sleep because it is below a pool deck. Should I consider switching to 1552? I've never cruised before- is 1552 too far forward (motion wise)?

    Thanks!

Stateroom 1610 on the Reflection is on Deck 11, there is one more deck of staterooms above you and not the pool so no noise to contend with.
