  1. IMO, the Disney cruises are magical for little ones! We took our son when he was 5, and being an only child we were nervous to see if he would like the kids club. After the the first time, it was hard to get him to leave the club! The kids club counselors were the BEST making sure everyone was having fun. You will have a little guilt free adult time, and then dinner and a show together in the evenings. I’d suggest you do an internet search for a Disney cruise chat board. They are a wealth of information and there are even meet and greet (and fish extender lol) opportunities. It’s all super fun.

My suggestion for the flight is to bring something to do, whether it is an iPad, books, or coloring.

You will have an amazing time!

  2. I swear I am sober ( at the moment) ...but it was the Getaway on our first cruise and we sailed the Escape last month.

I attended the CC meet and greet and if anyone here recognizes my screen name they will think I am out of my mind!

I just wanted to pass along how wonderful our experience was!

  3. My family cruised the on the Getaway last month and we had an awesome time. This was our second NCL cruise and it was as nice as our first one on the Epic. We have sailed on Royal, Disney, and Carnival before, and I am thinking NCL is my favorite. Of course Disney is top, but as my kids grow older I don't want to pay top dollar. Carnival is cheapest and fun, but you get what you pay for. Royal and NCL are similar in pricing, but the specialty dining and shows can't be beat on NCL.

We paid for the spa balcony, and I have to say I loved relaxing in the spa! I will definitely want to do that again soon! We had the promotion of free dining (3) and free beverage package. I booked through a big box company and although I paid about the same as NCL, I also got a gift card to spend at the warehouse. It was a good deal.

I like NCL because of the dining, the shows, and the service. Our room steward was outstanding. We didn't encounter any surly service. I enjoyed every show, including the musicians on board. It seemed like the talent on board was broadway talent- or music that would warrant a ticket venue. We were continuously wow-ed!

The specialty dining was delicious. Although I am vegetarian, sea food choices were available on every menu!

  4. I normally read rather than post, but man you guys are being harsh on the OP.

I can totally "get" why the OP is upset. The product he paid for has been altered.

Sure a modified product is still being offered, that's not the point. If this was disclosed upfront, he could have chose another vacation option. With all the planning in place for this vacation, it's a big deal to just reschedule for this family. We all have to "roll with the punches" on a vacation such as a missed port, or weather cancellations etc., but this is not the case! Sure they can still have a great vacation, but again that is not the issue!

I feel bad for you OP!

  5. Hello! My first post!:)

My friends were concerned that I just booked the Majesty after the Norovirus incident. They work in sterilization assurance for a major medical products company. Their advice to me was to wash my hands frequently with soap and water (just as previous posters have said!) but also to not use alcohol products that you just rub on. Those products kill the germs on your hands but also the good germs your body needs, so the very next thing you touch after using it could bring you bad germs. Just a thought.

They also said to try to physically move away from anyone coughing or sneezing if you can! Lol
