  1. We’re off to Southampton in the morning and I’ve just realised that I haven’t printed the permit for our parking at the port.

No printer at home so I printed everything else at work in the week and I can’t get it printed now.

Does anybody know if they’ll be able to print one for me when I arrive? Or if I can show the permit on my phone?

The email says to ensure that it’s printed and displayed in the car cry_smile.gif

  2. I’ve just read the first few pages of this board and can see there have been changes across the board for RCCI cruises.

We’re on Navigator in two weeks time, last sailed on her in October 2016.

Would someone be so kind as to list any changes they’re aware off please.

It’ll save me reading back over a years posts 😂

The main ones I’ve seen are; corkage reintroduced and room service fee introduced.

Any information would be gratefully received so that we can enjoy our cruise to the full 😀

  3. Hi all :)

    I'm hoping someone can help me out with the following questions;

    1. We sail 22-28 October, is there likely to be a fancy dress night for kids for Halloween or would that only happen on 31st October. Not sure whether to take dd's pirate outfit ;)

    2. Anybody know if it's cheaper to buy the soda package now instead of onboard?

    3. I haven't been able to book any entertainment online, either it didn't ever get released or I missed it. What do I need to book once onboard?

    4. I read that the adults only pool area is heated, is there a heated pool or whirlpools that children can use? I think it'll be too cold otherwise for dd to use the pool, not sure whether to take swim things.

Hope some of you can help me out :)

  4. I assume this is ok to do.

Can anyone confirm what currencies are accepted please?

We're on Adventure tomorrow going to Spain and France and I have euros left over from another holiday, I was thinking that if they don't get spent I could use them to pay off the sea pass account to save me having to convert them (I've been carrying them around in my purse for over a year, just keep forgetting about them)

    Thanks

  5. The third bed in our stateroom two weeks ago was a sofa bed. It worked very well and turned into a good size double (which our two year old loved)

It was turned down ready for her at night and folded back into a sofa in the morning by the stateroom attendant.

    Was that an inside cabin?

I'd much prefer a sofa bed as I have images of her dive bombing us in our sleep from the Pullman.

  6. Can anyone tell me what the 3rd & 4th beds are like in the inside cabins?

We've requested 1 bed put together but there weren't any options regarding the 3rd bed we need for dd. Our TA was next to useless and couldn't tell us if it's a sofa bed or a Pullman,

Will dds bed be made up automatically when they turn down? Do they still do a turn down service? It's 6 years since our last cruise and this is dds first so feel like a first timer again.

  7. Actually, Adventure does not have a covered solarium like the Radience class ships, so kind of a moot point. The ships that do normally permit kids from about 12-2 pm.

The deck plan says that the solarium can be covered during inclement weather by a large glass roof.

    Is that info incorrect?

I read that thinking it would be essentially an indoor pool as I thought there would be glass walls already in place, but maybe it's only a roof and will be no good if it's too cold out.

  8. Just wondering if kids are ever allowed in the solarium pool on Adventure of the Seas.

It's unlikely that it'll be warm enough to use the others during our cruise later this month and I thought that maybe in those circumstances they might allot a certain time when kids will be allowed in.

Not sure whether to tke dds swimsuit.

Anyone have any experience with this?

    Thanks

  9. Hi all,

Quick question if someone's able to help please.

Is it cheaper to pre order the photo package before boarding?

I've seen on some cruise compass sheets from earlier this year that there's a saving on the first day, would it be best to order then?

Would we get many photos taken? I can't remember having that many opportunities in the past but I would have sought them out so can't be sure.

    Thanks

  10. OP hope you don't mind me hijacking ;)

It been a few years since we last did a cruise, 6 I think, and they didn't do the drinks packages etc then as far as I can remember, only the wine package for dinner.

We're not big drinkers so will just be getting dh a soda package, dd has a soda package included.

I'll probably stick to the free drinks during the day and pay per drink for dinner.

Could someone please confirm where I would get the free drinks from? Wouldn't want to have to go to the buffet just to get a lemonade or tea, or back to cabin for room service.

    Thanks

  11. I phoned Royal and they confirmed that the complimentary drinks package is on our booking but that that offer doesn't show on their website.

They were fine talking to me instead of the travel agent.

I want to change from my time dining now to the main sitting and she said the travel agent needs to do that so I'll have to get in contact with virgin anyway.

    Thanks for all the replies.

  12. It was a Royal Caribbean offer, we booked through Virgin in store and I have the paper that they wrote all the details on but they didn't give us a proper invoice. We did eventually get an email booking confirmation from them but it didn't have the promos on it which were the free kids drinks package and free parking.

I've already booked the parking and it was free so that definitely worked.

Just not sure about the drinks package now.

  13. Yes...ice water, coffee, tea, lemonade, milk and juice at breakfast is included in your fare. You can buy soda "by the can" if you don't drink the equivilent of 3+ cans per day (which is the break even point).

NOTHING on a package is covered by room service or the "mini bar".

You will need to drink in excess of 7 drinks (beer, mixed drinks, etc.,,) per day to make the alcohol package pay for itself.

Thanks for the quick reply :)

I don't think it'll be worth me getting a drinks package then, but will get dh a soda package. Can he use this at dinner? Will they make him have his drink out of the plastic refill cup?

  14. Hi all, I'm new to this forum and have a some of questions about drinks inboard Adventure of the Seas.

Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong area, I was a bit confused by the different sections :o

We're booked on Adventure this October for a week out of Southampton, it's our third cruise with Royal Caribbean but our last one was 6 years ago so we're a bit out of touch.

Our daughter has the kids soda package included in the booking so I think she's sorted drinks wise but I'm not sure what to do for us. DH doesn't drink so I guess a soda package will be ok for him, but can he use this in the main dining room? What are the restrictions on this? Are they chipped mugs that you fill yourself and are time limited between refills? Or can you fill at a bar?

I'm not a big drinker and will probably only have a wine spritzer with dinner, is it best to just pay as I go for these? Would it be better to take a couple of bottles onboard and pay the corkage for them? How do you do this? I'll feel a bit silly walking into the main dining room all dressed up with a bottle in my hand ;)

Are lemonade, water, tea and coffee still included? I know they were when we sailed before but can't remember the details, could I have lemonade with lunch, dinner etc and not be charged?

I know fruit juices etc are included with breakfast, but seem to remember they were also included with room service at any time of day, is that correct?

So many questions, sorry, just trying to get my head around this after all inclusive holidays for the last few years.

Thanks for taking the time to read and hopefully answer ;)
