  1. The last time my wife and I arrived in St. Maarten, we got off the cruise ship, walked a short distance, then caught a small boat over to the beaches and shopping/restaurant areas. Is this the only way to access the shopping/restaurant areas? My mother is traveling with us in February, and she can not get in the smaller boats, due to being in a wheelchair. Can we access the Phillipsburg restaurant and shopping areas by private cab or rental car? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.:)

  2. I have just returned from an eastern Caribbean cruise on the Royal Princess. The food was superb. The new ship and her sister ship, the Regal Princess (sailing May 2014) has a pastry shop that has excellent desserts. In the anytime dining rooms, my wife and I had Bananas Foster and Baked Alaska on two different meals. They have fresh baked cookies every hour, and fresh croissants every morning. If you don't gain weight on these two ships, something is wrong. While I have not sailed on other ships, one would be hard pressed to find better than on these ships!
