My Sealed bottles of water was confiscated when boarding Sunshine last week. Carnival provided a free large bottle and I purchased 2 of their 12 bottle cases. Now I know to never pack water when going on Carnival. It's just easier to purchase on board

Yes you are stuck at the beach until the return time for the bus. If you want to leave early you can take a taxi back at your own expense.

I was also on the 12/8 sailing. Yes, I did not enjoy the carrot cake in the MDR. Not sure what that was.

We did make it to Tobacco Bay and Horseshoe Bay. We got off Grandeur of the Seas around 1:30 and got the 2:00 ferry to St George. took the 5:30 ferry back to the dockyard. The cafe at Tobacco Bay was out of the Wahoo nuggets. That was the only disappointment of the trip. The Wahoo nuggets is my most favorite at Tobacco Bay. The pina coladas are my second favorite. So glad I able to get to Tobacco Bay on this trip.

Went to horseshoe bay on the second day. The waves were a bit rough but overall it was nice.

Just back from Bermuda last week. We took the minivan from the pier to Horseshoe and back. It was $7.00 per person one way.

We also went to St George by ferry. It was $9.00 per person for the round trip tokens, purchased at the information kiosk in the arrival terminal just off the ship.

Love the Anthem.

I'm on Grandeur at the end of August. I will do Elbow beach day 1 and Horseshoe on Day 2.

I love Tobacco Bay but with the schedule for this ship I will have to miss it this year.

The 2 corner aft JSs on deck 7 on the Grandeur, are the only JS with WICs. They are to die for. Had one in December and will probably be the only time I will ever have one again.:(

Great review conandrob240. I was on that sailing and agree with most of your comments. Enjoyed the public spaces, especially 270. IMO best dinner was in Silk. Already looking forward to my next time on the Anthem.

Think you need to reserve online, with a deposit, and pay the balance at the resort. I plan to take a cab to the resort. I will sit there for the day and dab it back to the ship around 3:00 pm m

I would downgrade just for the savings. Are you downgrading to balcony category? You can use the savings for onboard purchases. The double points is an extra bonus. Go for it!

Enjoyed the 7688 balcony on explorer of the Sea to Bermuda Sept 2014. Will book that room in a heartbeat if available on any my future sailings. Loved listening to the wake.
