  1. …. Now for the bad part of our trip…. THE PARTY!

I do not complain about much. I normally let things go. However, this one bothered me.

There was a late night party on the Serenity deck. The Fun Times said it went until late. My wife had a headache and we were both tired. Our room was vibrating from the music above. I went down to Guest Services around midnight and asked when will this party end. They said it should be over by 12:30. 12:30 came and went and the party was still going on. I called guest services and got another answer… This time they said 1:00 – 1:15. Since the party was still going on at 1:30, I called guest services again. Now they said the party will end at 2 AM. We were not happy. I guess “Late” in the Fun Times = 2 AM. Normally, I would let this party go, but I did not like the 20 different answers I got from Guest Services. They had no idea of when the party would end. It finally ended at 2:10 AM. On the bright side, we did get a small credit to our S&S account.

… Next: Last sea day and wrap up of our 1st week.

Thanks for the review. We leave on the Vista in April doing the same back to back!!

  2. Ugh I wish I had pics for u but Seafood Shack is delish. Well worth the price. Crab legs were great so were the steamed shrimp. We ate there twice. I'd also recommend Jiji's. Food is amazing. I never saw anyone working out on those machine, just kids playing on it. Its really a waste of space imo. Maybe ppl used it early mornings???

Thank you so much!! I LOVE snow crab!!

  3. Cannot comment on the sports square. I ate at the Seafood Shack on Liberty last August. It was very good. Being from Maryland thought that the seafood was of great quality and the price was reasonable. A group of 3 got crab legs and shrimp as a snack- probably about 1 1/2 to2 pounds total.

  4. Did you mean the outside workout equipment?? To be honest I thought Sports Square on the Breeze was the best. Had a bar and TV in that area on the Breeze...not on Vista. I believe the area that is called the Clubhouse uses up that area on Vista. We ate at Seafood shack. Thought it was good....but a little pricey. I did not have snow crab so I can't help you there

    Thank you

  5. I’ll be heading out on the Vista in April and was wondering if anyone has photos of people using the equipment in the outside sports square? The machines look unusual and I was wondering what they were like. I also have seen photos of the seafood shack but I haven’t heard anyone comment on the food. I’m especially interested in the snow crab!! Thanks for your help.

  6. I love it!! I’m traveling with 7 other cabins. I’m surprising them with door sign! One says “cruise forecast...cruising with a chance of drinking!” Another one says “I can’t help it I love big boats”

  7. I read this idea on another post but thought it maybe useful if you are planning on doing an excursion and worried about being rob. Take a fake wallet with you and hide your real wallet in an inside pocket. The thieves know you won’t leave the ship without ID and money so I don’t think you can fool them by saying you don’t have anything. I thought it was a good idea. I truly don’t think that the cruise lines would go into a port if they felt it was unsafe for their passengers. Have fun just be smart!!

  8. I was looking for some help. Our cruise ship will be arriving in San Juan on April 24th at 1 pm. Most of the tours I have been exploring have much earlier time slots. I don't usually use the cruise line to book excursion because I'm cheap and like to see the money go into the hands of the people that really need it. Anyways I was wondering if there is a time difference? We will be leaving from Florida. Thank you!!

  9. I will be sailing on the Vista in April and was looking at where by cabin is and I was surprised to see on the ship layout it's square instead of rectangle. It doesn't make any difference, but now I'm curious of what it looks like. Does anyone have a photo of it or the other few cabins that are like it? Thanks!!

  10. Good day everybody....Got a small problem....We usually pickup a $1 casino chip from each of the cruises we do. And...we just finished unpacking all our things from our cruise on vista last week. No chip to be found....we lost it!!!! Would someone on the Carnival Vista now or going soon please pick one up for us? We would gladly pay ya back and then some for this favor. Thanks in advance!!!! Chuck

I won't be on the Vista until April but I would be more than happy to help you out. I'll check in closer to the time and you can let me know if you still need one.

  11. I have a question about dropping off your rental car in NOLA. I saw you used Budget. We will be on the Sunshine April 6th. I thought I'd have my husband drop us off at the port and then take back the car and get a cab back. There are six of us going so lots of luggage. Did they have a cab waiting for you to take back to the port? Thanks for you help. We re so very excited!!
