We usually give extra whether cruise or other vacation. We don't expect anything extra but feel it's nice for the person we are tipping. Just came off getaway and tipped the room steward on day 1. Told him that we wanted ice morning and night and also towel animals for our child. Always had ice, and also the best towel animals we have seen on any cruise. He was always there as well and asked if we needed anything extra.

You can upgrade cabin. The perks are different and may not have all that would normally be allowed. E.g. Free bev package, but not with dining. They are good deals and will save on the base cost of inside.

I have seen answered that you do not lose any benefits when bidding, but do you gain benefits when bidding on haven.

Does it include free drinks, etc.

We are on getaway in April. When are you able to bid?

Lots to do. Distillery is fun, but 10 min walk. Just walking around is nice.

Love twin brothers. Grouper fingers are awesome as the grouper in a pouch dish. About a 20 min walk, but usually longer as folks look at the sights. We typically cab it on the way back. Maybe $20 if I recall.

We've been to Nassau many times, usually staying at Atlantis. I find that everyone is amazingly nice (including off-resort) and have never felt unsafe. We have walked all over Nassau and paradise island and have been fine. All the vendors are great and not pushy at all. Very friendly too. Have had excellent food at the fish fry, definitely worth the walk or a quick cab.

We are looking at cruises out of NYC during Feb with an 8YO. NCL Gem 11 day, NCL Breakaway 7 day to bahamas, or 8 day RCCL to Bahamas. They all have pros and cons.

Any tips to help us choose?

Looks like Anthem has an Indoor pool, breakaway is a large ship, and Gem has a nice itinerary.

Just got off and did not notice a smell.

No smell. I went all over the ship and never smelled anything off.

We were just on the 1/27(28) cruise and ice tickets were handed out on two occasions. Both were well announced and in the compass I believe.
