  1. Thank you for all the information , we have booked the regular bungalow , so not sure what amenities we will have, a place to escape the heat was the most important for us. I was aware that the beach was rocky and found some water shoes to take. My favorite beach is Half Moon and favorite bungalow has been at Mahogany Bay Roatan.

Half moon will ALWAYS be my favorite. But PC was beautiful. But there is NOTHING like that baby powder sand at HMC.

  2. I would like to hear more about your experience with your bungalow at Princess Cay. We have one scheduled in 2 weeks while on the Conquest. What was included and what were your pros and cons. Thank you.

Ok. I know the bungalow was pricey but in my personal opinion, it was worth every penny. It was my stepdads birthday and he is a little older so I knew getting a bungalow with air was a must. It was EXTREMELY hot.

They put a paper in our room 2 days before needing to know everyone shoes sizes for snorkel gear and your choice of sodas--2pp. (two big bottles of water were already included)

Food that was included was a large bag of chips, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and ranch. Assortment of fruit--pineapple, honeydew, watermelon, and cantaloupe.

    Veggies-tomatoes, carrots, and celery.

    Cons--

the beach was EXTREMELY rocky. To the point were you dreaded getting out when you got in cause the rocks were sharp. You have to take water shoes. We won't go without water shoes next time. (Looked at Walmart the day before our cruise and couldn't find anything and it was too late for an amazon order) I didn't know it was rocky till I read something the day before.

It was kinda small for all 6 of us. But all of us didn't want to be inside all at once.

The beach doesn't have access right in front of the bungalow. But there is a beach view. It's about a 3-5 minute walk. (However we were in the sanctuary bungalow) so it might be different for you.

I thought the food they fed you off the boat wasn't good. It might have just been me but I was thankful for the snacks in the bungalow that were provided :)

    Pros--

We had air and shade!!! :)

We got to snorkel for the first time and saw some pretty amazing stuff. :)

My hubby is a tight wad and said we would spend the money again in a heartbeat. Well worth the $ in our opinion.

  3. Did you feel a lot of motion? People keep saying how rocky the ship is. We are going in February on Ecstasy. We usually do larger ships, so I’m nervous about motion sickness. I’ll take my Bonine [emoji1360]

Yes, you could definitely fell the motion. Yesterday especially. It was pretty bad. They hung the puke bags next to the elevators. You should be ok in February. I took my Bonine 3 times a day and I didn't get sick. Just couldn't hardly walk haha

  4. Wife would like to know if the coin push game in the casino has the BONUS bonus game with the letter tokens. She got a lot of letters on a recent Paradise cruise and wondered if she should bring them along. Anyone know?

It did. I played it last night! [emoji2]$100 if you get BONUS

We went to Nassau and Princess Cays.

Nassau was Nassau. Princess Cays was beautiful but EXTREMELY rocky. You will need water shoes. I still think Half Moon is 100 times prettier. [emoji51] but we did have a great relaxing beach day in our bungalow. [emoji7]

  6. How is she after all these years?

We went on her when she was just about new for our honeymoon in 93!

    Had the big ole suite!

We thought she was very well kept up!! Course we have always done the fantasy class ships. The crew was amazing and EVERYONE was so friendly and helpful.

  7. We woke up Saturday and headed over to Charleston Café to get breakfast since we had eaten here before I knew it would be a hit. There are two things that I would recommend one is the Deep Fried Cinnamon Roll and the other is their Corn Beef Hash. After Breakfast we headed back to the hotel room to check out and get an Uber. Uber took about 10 minutes to reach us and the cost without tip was about $16.00. We arrived at the terminal at about 11:15 and had a small wait to start the boarding process. Once this started it really was one of the smoothest embarkations I have been through. It was so good that we didn’t have to wait to board and were headed to the ship as soon as we got our Sail and Sign Card, this was true for all priority embarkation passengers. Got to our cabin and dropped off our carry-on luggage and while dropping these off, the head of the Stewards met us and introduced himself. This is the first time this has happened I was very impressed. I believe his name is Nazzari and wanted to let us know if we needed any thing we could reach out to him and asked if we needed anything. He also introduced us to our Steward Mark who asked if there as anything we needed and we just asked for Ice for our cooler. Once those pleasantries were taken care of we took off for some lunch and to explore the ship. Since breakfast was so filling it was a lite lunch. The layout of the Ecstasy is pretty standard to all the other Fantasy Class ships so no big surprise here. So after lunch and exploration it came time for the Muster Drill, seems Carnival has added some new technology to the system as they actually have you check in, when you get to the meeting place. Which you would think would speed up the process and I am sure it will once they get used to using it but at this time since they are learning the system is did slow down the process down a bit. Once the Muster Drill was done it was really time for the cruise to start. Went and watched sail away and really saw how much the wind was pushing on the ship. This would lead a hard night for some cruisers as they learned if they had sea legs or not. After dinner which had some issues like having to ask have my Iced Tea refilled three times and the time it took the meal,it took two hours from sit down to finish. So with dinner finished it was time relax on the top deck and meet some new people. I got the chance to meet Chad(informed me that the Ecstasy is a training ship hence maybe some of the issues already), Barb and Pam (some of the best people you could ever meet), and I also had the chance to meet Rebel and Erin and also Tiffany later in the cruise. I really do enjoy meeting new people andgetting to know them and their stories and this cruise didn’t disappoint.

Did you have FTTF?? Just wondering since we haven't purchased it if you can drop your carry on like that as soon as arriving on the ship.

  8. Honestly, we didn't have much trouble with the terminal, I thought it would be worse than it was. I prepaid the parking fee, and packed TONS of patience. We got through the main gate at 1100, knowing that the main parking garage doesn't open until 1130. We are able to make it through two check points, before we were stopped. The last check point was the payment tent. Once we were parked we were on board by 1200. It was very easy, but I can see how it can be frustrating. I think the key is getting there before 1100. But be prepared to wait.

But if you do Uber you can get into the "concourse" sooner and go through security.

    Just my 2cents

Is it true that you can drop luggage off starting at 9:00 then get back in the parking line at 11:00??

  9. We left our car at our hotel in Mt. P when we went out of Charleston and Ubered to the port. There were a few people on our FB roll call who left their car at the airport and caught an Uber to port.

Yea that's a good idea to do a stay and cruise package. We will be driving in the day of as we are only 5 hrs away. I'm just trying to find the cheapest way possible as we are taking two cars. And it's $10 at the airport versus $17 at the terminal.

  10. Put them in a backpack. Charleston is an odd port if you're driving. You park, and then take a short bus, go through security, enter the port area and then there's stairs or escalator and then a couple of ramps up to the ship. It will be easier to keep track of your beverages if they are in a bag. It's not your typical - park, security, sit, board. It felt much more "just keep going, just keep going - stand here, wait here, you're next, keep going, almost there, no, there's still 3 ramps up to the ship, okay almost there, now you're boarding."

We are driving in the day of. Leaving our 2 cars at the airport and ubering to the port. Has anyone ever done this?? We have sailed from Charleston twice before but have never parked at the port. I hear it's a mess. We have always done a stay and park package but this time we will be driving in that morning. It's my understanding that we can dropped checked luggage off as early as 9:00 am??? Can anyone clarify this?

  11. Carry them in a backpack or roll-a-long. If you take them in the box, it is likely that security will destroy the box.

Have fun, we have sailed on the Ecstasy many times.

So take them out of the box??? Like leave them loose in the backpack??

We are excited about the ecstasy. Been on fantasy twice.

  12. We stayed in a hotel--Best western sweet grass inn. They have a deal spend the night before and leave your car for a week and they shuttle you to and from the fantasy. They shuttled us and we left hotel at 11 and we were on the ship by 11:25ish and having lunch. FTTF definitely worth it.
