I have not been able to find anything on the roll call regarding Michelle.

Which roll call did you check? I was about to email Island wings to book my tour earlier when I read about the collision. I searched on facebook, CC etc to see if one of the planes was Island wings’ and saw a post where someone said she had checked and found out it wasn’t Island wings. I thought I saw the post on a roll call.

On ours we were given jackets and pants to go over our regular clothes and boots - before the flight.  They gave us the poles and crampons once we landed on the glacier.  Here is a shot of our group getting fitted by the guides for crampons.

    Which tour was this? Thanks.

The last time I checked the COSTCO travel pants are also called "Trek Pants".  They are made with quick-drying material with zippered back pockets as well as a zippered cargo pocket.

Great, these are cheaper than the other ones I have seen. I love Costco!  Going to buy a pair for my husband. Unfortunately they don’t have women’s. Thank you.

I don't travel with jeans, anywhere. Denim isn't flexible enough for my personal dress code and when it gets wet (rain, or if I'm doing laundry) it takes far too long to dry. I'm a big fan of a black pant. Have oodles 😉 My last AK cruise (Sept 2018) I brought 2 pr for "ports" (including taking zodiacs up to glaciers and just regular roaming around) - Costco "travel" pant and an Eddie Bauer trail pant. Both wicking/quick dry.

I have a pair of goretex waterproof overpants I got from the LLBEan outlet ages ago. I brought them to Alaska in 2007. Only time I wore them was when I was doing laundry and everything else was unavailable 😉 So I haven't used them for travel since - It's unlikely I'll be spending 8 hrs out in the rain, so I don't need the full goretex pant - the eddie bauer trail pant was perfect for my needs and that sort of thing is more multi-use for travel for me.

I also travel with silk long underwear bottoms if there's a possibility it could be cold enough to require their use (then I use as loungewear in the cabin too). They pack up super teeny. Fleece lined tights also work.

What are these Costco travel pants? Thanks!

Just got off 6102,  really liked it.

Thank you. I am guessing 6102 should be pretty similar to 6060. I will check with my  TA in the morning and change it just to be safe. How was your cruise overall? This is my first Holland cruise having cruised mostly on celebrity before. Did you find the ship to be dated? Thanks!

  6. Is 6060 a good cabin?  There are no cabins across the hallway but there is a big white space in front of it. Traveling with a very light sleeper and little concerned about noise if there is a crew work area. Also, has anyone stayed in 6054, 6056, 6062, 6098, 6100, 6102, or 6104? Thanks!

  7. Thanks everyone!

Debbie - I am not familiar with that brand so I will be brining my own. I was hoping not o pack my own but toiletries.

Cruise a holic - I have had tea forte and like them. Thanks for the tip on coffee holders. We have the drink package so I plan to get cappuccinos etc from the cafe to drink on our balcony.

Turtles/pris93/vacationlover- I hate to carry an open plate of food so I will be using one of the methods you mentioned.

Honeybear- I tried bunch of original first tea flavours on Rccl and liked only a couple. I loved those two and wanted to buy them but they are not sold in the US. Where would I find the food covers you mentioned?

  8. You will get more replies if you post this on the Celebrity board. You can also do a search with the cabin number on the celebrity board.

Editing to add that when you do a search, be sure to select 'search posts' instead of search threads so that the search will return all posts pertaining to that cabin.

  9. 1. If I order room service from MDR, are some items excluded or can I order anything from the menu?

    2. If I wanted to bring food to our cabin from the buffet, do they have containers that have lids?

    3. RCCL has these teas from a brand called Original First Tea. Does Celebrity have these?

    4. Do they offer have an yoga class on the beach at Labadee?

    Thank you!

  10. I have been only on one cruise so far and had a balcony cabin. In addition to some things others already mentioned..I loved watching a flock of birds fly near our balcony when we were leaving coco cay and it was amazing watching those tiny birds in the ocean. One morning it was drizzling and I loved watching the rain drops falling in the ocean. It's the little things I don't normally pay attention to on land but sitting on a balcony, they were couple of my favorite moments.

  11. I wouldn't change because of the ports. On the western itinerary, there is plenty to love about all the ports (except maybe Falmouth, which is newly developed). Labadee is one of my very favorite places - a perfect beach day, no excursion necessary. Just research what you'd like to do at the other ports and have a plan (especially for Falmouth).

You didn't mention which ships are on each itinerary. That would weigh heavily on whether or not to switch. I think everyone should try each of these itineraries at least once.

Both ships are Celebrity. I have Celebrity Silhouette booked right now and was considering Celebrity reflection. From what I understand both ships are pretty similar except for few things.
