Thank you all for the good ideas...we were wondering what to do after our cruise and our Emirates flight does not leave until late in the day. Wish we could walk around and enjoy the attractions of this beautiful airport, but not until check in which is 3 hours prior to departure...what a shame....was looking forward to seeing it.

So I guess, its checking our luggage and finding a tour or a really comfortable place to relax and read my book.,although my husband would go absolutely crazy waiting 😞

Looks like we will take our chances, and get our Visa onboard with Celebrity..yes, they prefer you taking their tours. As ours is a private tour, and although they will take care of the Visa, we are not their first priority..

Going to Gamble we will have them in time.

Will be on the Millenium in February, with an overnight in Hong Kong...lets hope all is settled there.

We are on a Celebrity cruise and although they can get a Visa for you, the will Not guarantee they will have it in time for our ports tour. After a sea day, we are in Vietnam for 3 ports and a little concerned..

Has anyone had issues with this...did you get your Visa prior or on the ship ?

Just returned...stayed at Marriott, Circular Quay , great location. Ate in the Rocks a few night, Italian and a Pub, both very enjoyable and not expensive..

Ate at the Hurricane Grill which was good, too. Enjoy , it’s a great city.

We used Jim Archer tours...he was great and highly recommend

Hey all, has anything like this happened to you guys:

 

 

 

Dirty water from the toilet floaded to all of our cabin carpet while we were having breakfast this morning. All of our shoes are dirty, there are machines drying carpets right now and they are so loud that we cant stay in our cabin right now, not sure what I am going to do when it is time to get ready for dinner! Also weird smell in the cabin. We asked if they could give a new cabin for us. That did not happen. No one cabin available! Could that even be true? Any suggestion what we should do? Thanks!

They always have some extra cabins available in case of emergencies...don’t give up

They didn’t turn it in, because who ever it was, decided to keep it. We were in contact with Celebrity for months after, and it was never found.

Thank you! I will check this company out as well. On our last trip we stopped for lunch high above Positano and the views were amazing! I do want to spend some time down in the town this time around. We only have until 2:00 p.m. the day we are at Amalfi but until midnight the day we are in Sorrento. Cheers!

Many hotels in Miami offer a package of stay and park. We have used a Holiday Inn , leave our car and take the shuttle to the port...very convenient.

My longest and best was in 2010 on the Sapphire Princess. It was 62 days round-trip from the US to Sydney Australia and back. With stops each way in Hawaii, Tahiti, and New Zealand.

Hinterland Tours does 3 hour city tours of Auckland. Mornings or afternoons. Email them at: info@hinterlandtours.co.nz. They do Auckland Rotorua Napier Dunedin. They do specific tours for ship excursions.
