I would send all photos to CDC and as many TV stations as possible. A reporter would have a field day with these photos and doing a story on it. I guarantee it will get attention and ruffle some RCL feathers. As they say...”A picture is worth a thousand words.”

After 32 cruises, December 8 of this year on RCCL’s Adventure will be my first cruise solo. 8 night Eastern Caribbean

Thank-you for the update. Your response sounds very encouraging as I would prefer eating in the Specialty Restaurants at least a few nights and if they allow the BOGO offer for solo cruisers, getting one night for FREE would be a great perk.

If D+ and traveling solo, how, and, do they still give you a BOGO offer in the Specialty Restaurants like they do if your 2-people, or, are you out of luck or have to invite another person to join you?
Thanks

I’m assuming if your status is D+ but, you’re a solo traveler, there aren’t any discounts or special offers for you, or, am I incorrect?
Thanks

Everyone has their own opinion including us. I guess until you try one of the options all posters suggest, you will never know.
We always stay at the Embassy Suites too. Yes, it’s a bit older than some other properties, but our room has always been clean, comfortable and spacious. Plus, we like the openness of the property and also the FREE Happy Hour and Breakfast. Finally, the cruise port is just a block or so away.
This is just our opinion and personal preference. I’m sure there are other great choices too. Best of luck with your choice.

Thank-you to everyone for taking the time to answer my question. Our cruise leaves FLL on Saturday, December 8 on the Adventure, and we fly back home on Sunday, December, 16.
After reading all of your posts, I think I will play it safe and book the 12:15-PM flight back home versus taking a chance on the 10-AM flight.

The cruise ends on Sunday, December 16, so that is the return flight home date that the 10-AM flight time is in question. Leaving on December 8 is fine.
Thanks

Thanks for the input. Our cruise is December 8th out of FLL on The Adventure believe it or not. Not sure if it’s using one of the piers that the two ships mentioned by the previous poster have been using?

After our cruise ends out of Fort Lauderdale, is it possible to catch a 10-AM flight in time, or, should we do 12:15-PM. The 10-AM Flight is almost $400 cheaper for the two of us.

When you read and believe every review just think that you woke up from a bad dream and none of anything was true. How can you take to heart anything anyone says positive or negative until you experience everything yourself?

As the original poster asked. Are they trying to get rid of us oldies. I would say yes they do because most oldies except the world, complain about almost everything and don't spend much.
Now before you jump on my case, I said most oldies not all. We are not total oldies at 62, but we spend and never complain about anything. It's a vacation. There's more to complain about back home. We are just thankful we can cruise when so many can't. And as alway's no one is forcing anyone to pay the prices they charge or for anything else. Don't like it, do something else. Maybe vacation on Route 66, stay at a Motel 6 for $39.99 and you'll be happier...plus, they'll leave the light on for you.

We been to Barcelona on a cruise twice over the past 2-years and have stayed at both the Hotel Jazz and 1898.
We loved them both and the locations were excellent. I will not attempt to covey which one is better because only you can determine that by your personality, tastes, and, what you'd expect, however, I can agree with others, and say without hesitation that both places are in good locations and very clean with no issues.
Good luck

Sorry to ask an additional question. We are also cruising out of Baltimore on February 4th, but are flying in and back versus having to park a car.
Are there hotels anyone is aware of that has shuttle service from the airport to the hotel/hotel to cruise port/then cruise port back to the airport?
Trying to figure out where it's best to stay in order to secure our plans since we won't have a car.
Thanks
Dave

I suppose I might be considered strange, but when we cruise, I never turn on my cell, I'm not on the computer or anything else.
I prefer to be outside on the promenade deck where they play some shuffle board and just relax like I'm brain dead listening to the water and breeze.
I really could care less if the ship went around in a circle 24/7. Lol
I love the shows, the ships atmosphere and pretty much everything but my opinion of a vacation is to do nothing that I would normally to at home or work and be like I don't exist.

I totally agree that everyone has a right to their opinion and experience, however, don't you feel that some people write their post and clarify it's their opinion, rather than how others write their post as a blanket statement that their comments is the way it is or will be for everyone?
To me, when it comes across that way, potential new or inexperienced cruisers might get scared or worried when in most instances, that won't be what they really can expect or experience.

They should have just a complaining website so the constant whiners can complain to themselves instead of frightening future cruisers into thinking what they say is accurate for everyone who was on that same ship, or, who will be going on that ship.
I don't really give a rats pitunia about your experience that your trying to pass along as the way it will be for everyone.
Everyone will always have a different opinion, experience, complaint, and compliment based on their personality and expectations.

Hard to believe that a ridiculous post such as this even exists. Should have been deleted when it was first posted. If this is so important to the original poster, maybe an OCD therapy session is in order.

I normally have an accessible cabin because of a few health issues, however, no accessible balcony cabins were available even when we first booked, or, I would have done that to begin with. So, I ended up doing an accessible inside, however, when I saw the balcony prices, I debated on foregoing the accessible inside for the balcony guarantee.
The unknown I guess, is that I'm having back surgery at the end of November and I'm betting that I will be much better where I won't need accessible cabins anymore, especially by next Octobers cruise.
Obviously, if the surgery doesn't turn out the way it should, then I might be switching back to accessible, if there are those cabins still open.
Thank-you again for all taking the time to help me with this decision

I did book the Balcony Guarantee tonight, so, the excitement and anticipation begins. We really don't care where they assign our room.
We are just thankful that we are able to cruise.

You are correct and our inside is, with a virtual balcony. Thank-you for the information as I never paid attention to that detail

I don't believe our current inside cabin is with a virtual balcony. I'll have to double check

Thanks again for all of your suggestions and valuable information based on your experiences.
I will probably call and switch from our inside on deck 10 of the Anthem to a balcony guarantee.
I just assumed since the Anthem currently shows 15 obstructed view balconies open for our October 21st, 2017 cruise this far out, that might mean that those 15 will fill up last, thus, when it's time to assign us our room, we will end up with one of those since all 15 might still be available because most cruisers will take all the non-obstructed rooms first.
Who would actually choose an obstructed cabin to begin with as their regular choice.
Thanks
