Just done a dummy booking on US rc web site and one on Uk web site (same date, same ship, same cabin and same poeple ) and UK one £2200 more, plus US has $200 OBC !!!
-
What i mean is i have read somewhere on here that sometimes when a US booking is made with a TA that they have received a bottle of champagne or drinks package or on board credit. Would you normally only get these if it's an offer at the time or do you just be (cheeky) and try your luck? In my opinion it's like getting blood out of a stone with a TA over here!
-
does anyone know of any UK resident getting perks off of the TA like some of our US friends across the pond?
-
What type of rooms do Princess have for 5 adults?
-
Can anyone tell me if a uk resident can book there cruise on the us site online?

Does royal sail Canada/New England July/August any year/
-
Ship -serenade
Deck - 10
Stateroom # -1512, 1510
Stateroom Category – E2
Starboard or Port Side - port
Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) –very quiet.
Was stateroom a connecting stateroom-yes and used as connecting staterooms. only problem was doors where very noisy to open and close, plus they wouldn't open fully because beds where in the way of them opening fully so you couldn't get on to balcony without opening and closing them.
Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. –perfect balcony, great view.
Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - normal.
Was wind a problem? -no
If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? -n/a
Any specific problems with this cabin? -twice the toilet system stopped flushing. once overnight!
Any other comments? -I would advise getting a superior connecting balcony so you wouldn't have connecting door problem. Maybe perhaps the room steward could do with a bit of a personality boost, her cleaning could be given a boost also.

What happened to the good old days when we had one bathroom per house. Sharing a bathroom in a j suite between one family certainly outways the cost of 2 separate/connecting balcony rooms. We had connecting rooms on sos and the connecting doors were nothing but a pain as they wouldn't open fully plus they were in our way of getting out on to balcony.

It would be anything with a balcony, not sure what ship yet. What is the layout of a family balcony?
-
We have 4 adults and 13 yr boy is their a state room that would fit all of us. Also would a 5th person cost the same as 3rd/4th person.

I'm hoping to cruise Canad/New England 2016 with RC but it depends what ships are their. I'm deciding whether it will be RC or Princess.

Shorts are shorts no matter what they are called. The guidlines are for all ages and the OPs kids aren't infants. I could care less what others wear but when the age card is played...just my opinion!
I don't understand why someone like myself who asked an innocent question, who knew nothing about wearing "smart" shorts in mdr, who also didn't know whether their was an age limit (reason ages were applied) is getting such bitter replies!!! It makes a person think twice about posting on here.

I belong to a country club here. Yes, you see lots of 'nice' shorts there (the rules allow them, unlike in the MDR on RCI ships.) But I've never heard anyone refer to them as "smart shorts." The poster I quoted first has it correct.

I'm afraid it's one of the many names we give them in uk, like "smart suit" or "very smart looking young man".

I wish i had never asked! as for the poster saying he has a driving license at 16, it's 17 in uk!! I think i get the idea now.
