  1. Looking to do an ATV or Jeep tour in Aruba, however ship tour is sold out. Does anyone know of a reputable private tour operator that will pick you up at the cruise terminal?

  2. We were on the Breeze for the cruise that started on Feb. 27, so about a month ago. We really liked Mike Pack. He seemed to have lots and lots of energy and seemed to be everywhere. He was amazing to our grandkids.

We also liked Orlando, and I do believe he is on his way up the ladder.

As always, it's all subjective, and some people couldn't care less who the CD is.

I agree that Matt is amazing, and we also liked Eversen "Dr. E" Bevelle when we had him on our previous Breeze cruise. That was before he went to the Magic--he was filling in for Matt, who was on vacation.

I was also on the Fe. 27th sailing and I thought Mike Pack was great. The whole team did a great job. Jonathan , Mikey and Orlando along with Mike.

  3. No... he didn't do the chicken thing... he had anybody who could get up to the chairs on the stage to come on up... she flew up there and got her chair:D

He had them in their deep sleep.. and then had them on a beach... she laid back in her chair, completely laid out... and then he got it hotter, and hotter, and hotter... people were squirming in the chairs, wiping off sweat... and then he had them all fanning ... then he got it colder and colder... they were all shivering... she was cuddled up to the girl next to her... freezing... and all were shivering and shaking... there is so much more to tell but I am at work and break is almost over.. anyway it was a blast! And I know it is now true!

He actually did a couple of things with all of the audience, myself included, before he brought them on stage... gotta get to work!:D

I was also up on stage during one of my cruises only I was sitting next to this big guy. I am a women and we were all over each other when it was cold. Very embaressing when I ran into this guy several times throughout the cruise. My hubby was quite amused every time we ran into him.

  4. Has anyone who has sailed to Amber Cove had their port fees reduced on embarkation day (in the form of OBC)?

For two of my bookings I noticed that the port fees are MUCH higher for the Amber Cove itinerary. I compared both cruises, both have 2 persons per cabin. The non-Amber Cove cruise is 7 days and 4 ports while the Amber Cove cruise is 5 days and 2 ports. Amber Cove is $100 more for 2 less ports! I understand it's a new port and Carnival needs to cover their investment costs, but wow that's pricey compared to longer itineraries

Victory 5 Day to Amber Cove, Grand Turk - 11/23/2015

    Taxes, Fees & Port Expenses $164.35 $164.35 Total - $328.70

Valor 7 Day to Cozumel, Belize, Mahogany Bay, Costa Maya - 4/2/2016

    Taxes, Fees & Port Expenses $114.47 $114.47 Total - $228.94[/quote

That does seem high. We are doing 8 day Breeze in Feb. 4 ports including Amber Cove. 118.90 each 237.80 Total for 2]

  5. Wow, NEVER heard of this as I paid off our upcoming cruise with them and had NO issues, plus quite a bit saved for our S&S account! 10% is well worth it! I would forgo the PVP and just do it yourself online, or get rid of them and ask for a different one, it sounds like to me that they do not want "work" for you, sounds like a bunch of lame excuses!

Really hope I have no issues. I've never purchased theses before. I have $1000.00 worth of cards and plan on using them on my S & S card for the Cheers pkg.

  6. If driving is not an option, keep an eye on flights to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa. Vehicle rental is inexpensive with no inter city fees. Most agencies in Miami provide shuttle service to the port. Tampa and Orlando are the furthest away, Tampa is 4hrs. and 280 miles, Orlando is 3 1/2 hrs. and 235 miles. Both are easy drives. Airline prices fluctuate, keep looking on all the sights, good luck.

OP could also try Ft. Myers. 2.5 to 3hrs to Miami.

  7. I got mine through Verizon. I redeemed 1000 points and got 10% off. AARP also has them. If you look through the threads about them, lots of info. I found out about them on this site.

I have been trying for weeks with Verizon. They are always sold out. How di you get them through AARP?

  8. It seems these are the two most respected private snorkel tour operators. Any feedback as to which one you'd pick? We do have two children 7 & 10 but both can swim and snorkel.

    Thanks!

Without a doubt Captain Bob. It is a full 6 hr. Tour with a really great lunch beer and soda. His crew will take to to several different spots to swim or snorkel and they will also take you to Moho Beach to see the low flying planes if one arrives. Very prompt and professional. We went last year and we are going again in Feb.

  9. Yes, pay as much or little as you want, just keep the final payment date in mind. The will auto cancel your booking without notification if you miss that date.

You have the option to have Carnival make your final payment with the same credit card that secured your deposit. That way you don't have to worry about missing your final payment.

  10. It does really depend on the time of year. Hurricane season I would expect the tropics to be a little rougher. We did this tour last September and I don't recall it being that rough. I agree, talk to Captain Bob. He really is very approachable. If you have the opportunity to take this tour than do it. We are going again in Feb beacuse it was by far the best tour we have ever been on.
