Hi All.  Anyone else booked on HAL for Alaska from Seattle in August-September 2021 ?  What are you hearing ?  They're supposedly swapping the Nieuw Amsterdam for the Eurodam, but the itinerary is the same ?  We're also supposed to get a new booking number but we don't have it yet.

I know there's a tension between the PVSA and Canada not wanting ships to stop at Victoria.  But no real news. Got any hot info?

I have a Samsung Galaxy 3 that I'll be using for my Europe-phone. I also have a Galaxy 4 that I will keep on my US plan but turned off except for emergencies.

Which is the best carrier to deal with that will cover both Italy and Greece? I have heard about Vodafone, Wind and TIM.. what's the deal?

You could take the boat from the tender dock to Oia and then take the bus (or walk) back to Fira. Fira will be crowded, especially as everyone makes their way there to make it back to their ship. You still have to make the same choice - cable car line, donkeys, or walk.

I very definitely don't want to do this, because then you still have to go back down the donkey path or the tramway, and attendant unpleasantness. The boats are going from the dock to Oia - they have to come back!

I am trying to deal with the same problem. My idea is to charter a boat from below Oia back to the tender dock just before we sail. If we can get a dozen people it will be cheap and fun.

Does anyone have a contact for a boat company or two?

Thanks for the great info on your experience. Does anyone have any information on boat companies in Santorini? We'd like to walk up the donkey path, make our way to Oia, and then take a boat back. We'll be there on the Eurodam 4/16/14.. already asked in the roll call. Any information is welcome.
