  1. We have gone just to look at the art work. Then we found out the have a gallery and we didn't need to go to the auction. It took us a few cruises to figure this out. In October we got a free piece of art for staying in a suite. We got an envelope with a paper inviting us to pick out our free artwork valued at $200. We thought it was a ploy and ignored it. Then they called us on the last sea day to make sure we go the invite and then to see why we hadn't come down.

Yep that happened to us on our recent cruise in May and we actually did buy 3 pieces since we are decorating our home and need some wall pieces.

  2. Hello, I wanted to get a little clarification on information that I have found on the web. We have booked 7298 (VS), 7300 and 7302 on the Carnival Pride. I have read conflicting reports that the dividers on the balconies can be opened.

Does anyone have personal experience with having them opened? The goccl site says no but others on Spirit Class sips say yes. I was on the Pride in 2015 but didn't have the cabins next door so I didn't pay attention.

    Thanks

  3. Suite guests do not get early access to their cabin, priority luggage delivery, or the special line at guest services. They do get Priority boarding, dining reservations, tendering, and debarkation.

weirdly enough we booked a suite and had plans to purchase FTTF but it was always sold out. When I printed my documents they actually say Priority and FTTF on my luggage tags. I nor my BF purchased it because it was always sold out. Only thing I can figure is the TA paid for it but I stalked it everyday/all day so I don't even know how she could have done it.

    Has this happened to others?

  4. I am looking for advice.

I have a group cruise booked with a TA but don't feel like she is doing the best work. I emailed her about a price drop and was told I didn't qualify even though I booked as Early Saver. Then when I called carnival to take over the booking because she was MIA of 2 weeks they wouldn't help, now she is refusing to turn my booking over to Carnival. We have paid full deposits on 3 rooms and just the hold fee on the others. What should I do?

  5. I have put together a group cruise and was wondering how do they calculate the conductor credits. I have 10 cabins (5 aft balconies $1398 base, 4 interiors $1118 base and 1 suite $2328). I have read that it is based on the average base fare of all cabins, but someone also told me that suites are counted differently.

I also have been getting mixed information saying I can credit that to my final payment or that a check will be mailed out after the sail date and the final decision is made by the TA. Basically that I as the Contact have no say no.

  6. We stayed on verandah in the extended aft balcony. Yes there will be a little noise when docking but we used it as our "wake-up" to get up, eat and off the ship. We also experienced some overhead noise from the lido deck but it was mostly early or at night when the crew was cleaning.

For the most part we were either out and about onboard, exploring the ports or on our balcony so the noise was not an issue for us and we will continue to book this room on future cruises.

  8. it seems from the various blogs, sites and comments I have read that seem to want to have an option to prepay for the program. To me that would be a better option and possible better sales pitch than having to wait until your on board. Then moving from there if you choice to prepay then they can build in the seasonality of the pricing with your booking.

  9. I myself have planned to do just this next year on the Pride out of Baltimore. I live in DC and purchased FTTF already but want to drop bags at room then head to the Harris Teeter a few blocks away for wine and Soda.

I personally think its a lot of hassle to try to drag luggage and sodas at embarkation. I was able to check in, drop bags and get back off the Valor in PR a few months ago. We headed to CVS, got our wine and got back onboard. I will admit that it was only 2 bottles and I was carrying a small beach bag. I thought once I hit security and had to put my bag through they would ask about the wine but they were more concerned about the liquid in BF tumbler that he had actually purchased and filled before we got off.

Just my opinion from my experience, you shouldn't have any problems getting of and back on regardless if you have beverages or not, unless they are in an open container.

  10. We are cruising beginning Sunday 8/10 and there are 7 of us. We are booked differently than we are planning on staying. How do I keep track of everyone's charges? Is there a way to track charges each person makes?

I don't want to have to figure it out on our own' date=' and I'm not sure the teenagers will keep track of receipts.

    Thanks![/quote']

If I am reading correctly you are staying in different rooms than you booked? If so you are able to change rooms with guest services, then each person will have a separate folio number to keep track of charges.

  11. I have seen the issue of room entry addressed but not the thing about the money.

Even if they were able to enter your room, they can only accept tips (cash or otherwise) if you physically place it in there hands.

Just thought I's mention that also.
