As many have said before me, the Viking Crown would be the best example. It's simply lovely up there but there's really no reason to go up there for most people. There are also nice little spaces (visible from the elevators) on Decks 6 (business services), 7 (library) and 8 (internet center) that were virtually deserted at all times. Very few people must have know about access to the helipad as well because we never encountered another living soul out there. The Connoisseur Club (for cigar smoking) rarely had anyone in it and although loathsome to non-smokers, it is actually a very nicely themed space with it's own bar.
Thanks for the info!

Under Public Spaces you mention that "Many of the nicer spots we found were tucked out of the way and sadly under-utilized." Can you give a couple of examples? Thanks!

We were on Brilliance a couple of weeks ago (myself, wife and 16 year old son) in Cabin 8000. It was great for the three of us, really nice having the extra room.

We were on Brilliance last week celebrating our 20th and one night after dinner in the MDR they brought us a special dessert and sang "Happy Anniversary".

I'll second that! I called C & A around 3:00 this afternoon, was on hold for less than two minutes, and the agent was very polite and helpful :).

We are thinking about an Alaska cruise in either 2015 or 2016 so we are very much looking forward to your review!

We will be on that cruise as well. Looking forward to our first holiday cruise!

Did you book this today?
The 3rd and 4th don't come up as free for me.
I booked it on Saturday. I saw early today that it was still listed on the promo page, but I just looked as well and am also seeing that the 3rd and 4th are no longer showing $0.
Sorry!

I now have three cruises booked. Two for this year and one for next year. I was able to switch out the two E category balconies we had booked for July on FOS to one D1 balcony with kids sail free promo. Saved $1600 by doing this and we'll manage with the one cabin. I was debating booking a cruise over Thanksgiving week. I would have to pull my teenage son out of school for the first three days of the week. DD is in elementary school and she has Thanksgiving week off. Checked prices and saw the Liberty of the Seas on a 5 days Bahama cruise had 3rd/4th passenger free. Got it booked for $1500 and some change for quad occupancy in a D1 cabin. Figured I can cancel later if needed but to try to book it later with these prices may be difficult. Still debating it since I hate pulling DS out of school. He is a junior in HS and college applications are around the corner. What to do?? What to do?? What would you do??
We booked the 4 night cruise on Liberty that leaves Thanksgiving Day (11/27), that way our son (17) only misses 1 day of school (the Monday afterward).

We just booked Liberty departing on Thanksgiving Day and were also told that MTD was the only option as well. Booked directly through RCI, not a travel agent.

We were on Brilliance in April. Did the self-disembarking and were at the airport by 8:45.
