Thanks Suzanne, I am so happy to have been able to watch them play. Looking at the rest of the season, it might be the only game I will see unless they make the playoffs.

Suzanne, congrats. I really wanted to go to bed but just could not do it. Going to be an interesting game next week for my Ravens. And a really interesting season.

Katie and Lois, I did not watch either of your games but it must have been very frustrating. I have been there!

I am happy for a Ravens win, but really miss actually watching them play.

I did watch the Packers game and was blown away, along with many others, about the penalty on Matthews. He did not hit either the head or legs, just how is one supposed to tackle a QB now?

Katie, maybe I need to temper my comments about the Pats. 44 years is a long time!

Katie, I was so curious, although dubious, that I booked the 9 Dec. inaugural cruise. I think I did this in a weak moment, but I am actually looking forward to it. If it is a disaster, I will just not book it again. I have also booked the Infinity for a b2b beginning in the 24th of Oct. I so need to get back to having a life..

As for the Patriots, does this mean I can actually say what I think about them? :-)

I don't usually post about shootings, but after the Annapolis Capital shooting and now the Aberdeen shooting I just have to comment. What on earth are we going to do about this. I grew up in Aberdeen when it was a sleepy little town that would not even have existed if not for the Proving Ground. I lived within 5 miles of Annapolis for over 45 years. Something is so very wrong and I do not know what to attribute it to.

What kind of society are the children who are growing up today facing? Does anybody have any suggestions? This is just getting more and more sad.

Suzanne, I wish I could have watched your Steelers. They came close. I did watch the Vikings and Packers. Have liked Cousins since he was with the skins. Excellent game. Thank goodness football is back!!!

Suzanne, I do not know if to happy or sad to have missed the game. Apparently, with my internet service, I would have had to buy the entire sports package in order to have watched the game. I passed. The Bengals, along with your Steelers, are the true nemesis of the Ravens. At lease I know the Steelers are going to play a clean game. I have no idea how the game was played, but the Ravens are not a good come from behind team. They need to bring their A game for all 4 quarters.

I know Linda menioned sports bars, but I just do not see me in a bar watching football. Maybe I will get desperate and give it a try. Good luck with Burfict. He is truly the scourge of football, imo.

Sorry to have been away for so long, although I have tried to keep up a bit. It has been a stressful couple of months but I have settled into my condo and this morning my house in Md. settled. I am hoping this reduces the stress and I can return to the world of the living.

Suzanne, I watched last nights game and realized how much I have missed football. It remains one of the constants in my life. It would be so nice to see Ravens games, but I have not yet managed to figure out how to do it. Good luck to your Steelers. Just cannot bring myself to wish the Seahawks well. Maybe some day.

I feel very fortunate to have gotten through the pickup unscathed. My real concern is that everything shows up and is in reasonable condition on the 15th.

Suzanne, I so wish the same movers would be doing the delivery. The head mover even said he would "love" to take my things to Florida because he loves the state. The delivery will be by a local company. I can only hope they are half as careful as the first group.

Linda, I now remember your file cabinet/passport problem. That would have made me just wild, but I am certain you handled it well.

I am taking the auto train for the first time next week. The things I cannot trust to movers are coming with me. Lou's oldest friend, more than a 50 year friendship, is driving. At 81, he is a better driver than I am, probably because he can still see well.

Will report back when I see what I have to deal with. Until then, I need to wish Linda a fabulous cruise in the Med. Hopefully, I can get back there myself one of these days.

Lois, You were right. They were in the cabinet with the cat food. Of course. Where else. And I have no memory of that at all. Stress does some awful things. I so need a cruise.

Well, round one is over. They were pleasant, helpful, careful, and fast. Unfortunately, I am missing both of my garage remotes. I am hoping they packed them by mistake.

With 40 boxes packed in 2 containers, they are certainly not going to look for them. Bummer. On the other hand, they can always be replaced.

Round 2 starts on the 15th in Ft. Myers. Hoping it goes well. This is, after all, where I will know if I actually have everything. I have read too many moving horror stories.

OK, can I get all of you to please wish me luck tomorrow? The movers are coming, they have been incredibly difficult to deal with once I signed the contract, I am exhausted and only want this over with. Those of you have moved, is this a normal response or am I on my way to senility? I need a cruise sooooo much.

Happy you and Linda had a fun lunch. Wish I could have been there. Hopefully, see you when you return in the fall.

I haven't had a lot of time to pay attention to the draft this year, but it does sound like Ozzie is paying attention to the offense which really needs fixing badly.

Also, not particularly happy with the choice of RG3 as backup quarterback. He had one good, even great, year but after the injuries he often looked like a deer in the headlights. Not sure what they were thinking, but we do need to look at an eventual replacement for the overrated Flacco. Maybe the new young guy they picked up in the draft will be the answer in time.

Lois and Suzanne, thanks for mentioning this thread. Really enjoyed it. Nice to see everyone being helpful and polite, unlike so many.

Suzanne, driving down is out for me with my vision. And my driving is not the best anymore either. I will be flying down with a friend and cats will be under the seat. I would be really uncomfortable shipping cats. Too many horror stories. I am glad it worked out for your cat. A long drive with cats, which I have done in the past can be a nightmare, especially spending the night in a hotel with cats, a litter box, carriers, bowls and food. Never want to do that again. Not to mention the howling from the back seat. lol
