Hi, experienced cruisers
We are joining Azura in Malta on Thursday.
Do TUI offer twilight checkin for this cruise charter flight?
-
Onkel_Ken, We may well have been "the wrong kind of people".
DH favorite moment, on asking which bottle he wanted in the room, he replied Macallan and got a litre of 15 year old for the room. WE had to buy a hip flask from russia to take some of it home

We have done regent voyager (standard stateroom) in 2013 and divina YC in 2014. Overall we prefer msc. We loved regent but found fellow cruisers to be moaners. They moaned about price paid, the butlers, access to the speciality restaurants.
We did the Baltic so free excursions were a welcome bonus.
Msc divina was a pleasure, love YC.
We did preziosa on a balcony deal in 2015 and it was good but preferred Fantasia back In YC earlier this year.
So I would say regent gives you a full Experience, a full package holiday. Msc lets you get away from the tourists and do your own thing,
.
Hope this helps

We did 16001 on divina and missed seeing the sea, you see the horizon but couldn't look down. We were happier in a side balcony on Fantasia 16014.

We just completed a week on Fantasia after being on preziosa and divina. You can tell she is the first in her class as the other two have upgraded to eatiitaly and galaxy restaurant, as well as the aft pool not being an infinity pool. But I loved her,.
We were in yacht club which makes it even more special

I used my Ghd straighteners on divina, preziosa and Fantasia, never had a problem. Just remove uk plug adapter and us e the European plug socket
-
Hi they have both, use the European adapters as they are more powerful electric current. We have a travel use charger with multiple plug sockets and used the European one all week.
-
Just off fantasia, and did divina 2 years ago. Le muse want you to boo,k a time, I think this is to manage the kitchen orders. On divina we had the same table all week. Fantasia sat us at a different table each night. The food was different to MDR, but over the course of the week you ate similar food.
We asked for 2 lobster tails last week and they were the biggest tails I had ever seen I'm life they were lovely

We had a steel hull balcony on the preziosa last year. I tried to get confirmation from msc and they told me it wasn't so asked the excellent skier52 who confirmed we had a steel balcony.
Calling msc back we were offered a disabled room but DH did not want it.
It would have really disappointed me if we had seen that balcony for the first time when we boarded. But I would not have allowed it to ruin my cruise.
As I was prepared for this, I took pleasure in the balcony .
in fact It was a much nicer balcony than 16001 yacht club on divina which is a front facing balcony and you could not see the sea.
We are on Fantasia in YC on 1st may ... 7 days and counting ...

6 weeks to go and YC, can't wait to get to the top sail lounge. We did normal cruise on preziosa and you would not know YC was on board. But we missed that top sail lounge and pool deck

Great review fellow Brummy. We loved divina and preziosa, on Fantasia this may for a loop around the med.
-
We have done yo on divina then did a cheap deal on preziosa, and had a great time. We would not have known yacht club existed. But we missing the top sail lounge and the service, so this year we are back in yacht club Fantasia in May 2016. The main advantage of yacht club is the space.
In 2013 we did a Baltic cruise on the 6 star regent, it was a great cruise, and a brilliant service but the moans from the passengers was the worst on all my cruises, this cruise cost about £6k and we prefer yacht club

The photo was taken in Miami and is looking at another cruise ship, you can see the blue of Miami harbour. The view is great, but I would prefer a side cabin if we YC again, but if I was only offered the front ones I'd take it. Also we had the best butler Johnny who lioked after Sofia Lauren and royal suites so it is the best service on the ship
-
TRAVELINGMAN2 the balcony had two chairs and the footstool. We sat out there with a coke zero most evenings. Don't forget the mini bar is included in yacht club and the fruit basket which was refreshed every day.

I stayed in this cabin on the divina, the balcony is just like the photo mikesa1721 posted. I found the balcony is closed in and other people may be disappointed. We missed seeing the sea and waves. I loved yacht club and would stay again. We have now done a non YC cruise on preziosa and missed the private pool deck the most. The pools in the rest of the ship are so busy compared to YC.

I know on here a disabled cabin is considered a bonus.
We stayed in a disabled room at Trump in Las Vegas and the room was very carefully thought through for a wheelchair.
we found the modifications got in our way and made me appreciate how much we take for granted that a person in a wheelchair cannot reach.
-
Skier52, thank you for the detailed response.
We checked with MSC UK and could only swap to a disabled cabin and DH didn't want that.
I can go back to following preziosa's loop around the Mediterranean, and think 3 weeks from today we will be civitavecchia.

Hi skier52 reading you comments on 10028, we are on the preziosa in May in 9026 and I was worried it would not have a plexi glass balcony. What do you mean when you say around the area where the steel changed to plexi glass? I rang msc this week and asked about the balcony and the answer was if there are no comments on the Internet the room must be okay. She also said the only restricted balconies were on deck 8. Your advice would be very helpful

It wasi in one of the bars desk 6 or 7 and muster was the only time I saw how busy divina really is.
-
Muse is open at lunch, but your butler takes you there in the evening, so we found it ourselves and enjoyed a 3 course lunch with wine as everyone else arrived and looked at the aft pool. Bliss

Do you remember who the maître d was and any other servers? Thanks.
We think Maître d was guido and luigi was the sommelier. Kadek was our busboy, husband was rude when he bought cheese and desserts, for the rest of the week he was fantastic.
Can't believe divina is off for another cruise and I am in tampa waiting for the flight home.

DH and I loved the cruise 16-23 we were in yacht club so had the best of both worlds. Last year we did regent voyager in 2013 as a "six star" line, all inclusive and felt the yacht club matched these standards.
The crew, captain, Johnny our butler, Gabriel our waiter were amazing and our fellow guests were fantastic, many nationalities but all there to have a great time.
Reading the comments posted this week I think msc divina was on form for our week and it must have been the 4000 partying guests who were the magic ingredient.
So to all future msc guests I say have fun and laugh when they deliver the cheese course with dessert or the wrong cocktail (our only complaints all week) and remember they are looking after many nationalities not just English speakers.
I am still worried about the man overboard hope he was found, or did he find some entertainment below decks (nudge nudge wink wink)

My DD, grandson, and myself had 8 cases on our March Divina trip. It was absolutely no problem disembarking. We loved the leisurely, quiet breakfast in the Topsail, saying goodbye to all of our new friends. Our butler escorted us off and we were out of customs and in a taxi in less than 30 minutes.
Kathiean, 8 cases is extreme holidaying, we are planning 3 cases for 2 adults. Can't wait for august.
