I recently received an email offering deeply discounted prices for the 3rd and 4th guest. Do all guests need to stay in one stateroom to get these prices?

I agree with the above. We flew out of Venice airport on July 14th and there were many lines to wait in and multiple security checks. That being said we arrived via water taxi and were offered a shuttle to the terminal for 25 euros a person which we turned down. We were glad we did since the walk only took us about 5 minutes and we had 4 large pieces of luggage. Once inside you can only check in within 2.5-3 hours of your flight. They are very serious about this and many people were rudely told to get away from the self service kiosks. We were able to make our flight without a problem however, we arrived at the airport at 7:45 for a 10:50 flight to the US.

We just got back from a Med cruise and did Florence on our own. We found it a very easy city to navigate and we were able to take in the sights at our own pace. If you get ahold of a Rick Steves book there are some good options for self guided tours in Florence. Enjoy!
