We love Jack's Shack, sure do miss Jack and Janet, and of course, Topher. Can't believe how the Celebration dwarfs the Freedom.

We also have been on the behind the fun tour, they appeared to put folks clothes in a mesh sack that was identifiable. We used the service many times and haven't had a bad experience

Sorry to dispel this myth. The toilet tissue on ships is thin due to them using pallet loads of it each week, and to keep cost down. It is not special TP like motor homes or boats, and in reality it needs to not break down easily to ensure the "product" plug can be sucked down the full length of the vacuum piping to the engine room.
Makes sense, I was just going by "experience" from our TP with the travel trailer. Plus, kinda thought the system would want it to break down. Have a great evening.

The TP on the ship is like the RV (travel trailer or motor home ) tissue, it breaks down easily and easier on the system on ships.

Awesome review and recap, you ought to love Galveston and especially NOLA, our favorite port!! If you have questions about hotels or dining please let me know.

Jamman, be it bitter sweet, I absolutely love sail away from great stop. We always get an aft wrap and I just relax and enjoy a relaxing afternoon/evening.

When we did a B2B in Nola, the change over was so much fun. It was us and one other couple. So cool.

All great suggestions.
However, Jacks is no longer Jacks for us old folks. Topher has now passed and Jack sold to his partner and returned to Canada to watch his grandchild graduate.
I visited with new owner on the last trip and we talked about the old days. The improvements are all great, but it is far from the “Shack” it once was.
You can’t go wrong on a visit there and we will make it a point to stop in and say hello on each trip to GT.
GT is one of my favorite ports.
That's kinda sad, it was always our destination at Grand Turk, we loved the experience and visiting with Jack, Janet and of course watching Topher play with the folks.

We sailed on the Valor from there, ate at Fishlips years back. Loved it, my wife wanted to see " I dream of Genie Lane" and we did. Great port!!

I found the price is comparable to most big events, at rodeos its around $10.00 a beer, I just budget for this.

Great review our next cruise currently is on the Horizon a year from now. We're at 22 cruises, trying to talk my wife into a couple of short cruises to see that mirror message

We did a B2B on the Dream from NOLA, we got a letter to meet at the library, a representative led us off through customs then right back on. It was so cool to see the work done behind the scenes.
