  1. Since you are arriving so late and you never know if the timing will actually be what u think possibly spending more would be a better option. Try the Marriott at the airport.Sometimes discounts can be had such as AAA,Entertainment Book, military, gov't job. Call the hotel directly and see what the best rate is.

  2. I agree with everything Sadie said. We have a Boxer who is our child. We were inexperienced many years ago and placed our dog in a home with someone who had other dogs. We did not test the waters and left for our vacation. Our dog paced all night and it was not a pleasant experience. This was a short trip. When we tried calling her to do the day care set up so the dog would get to know her they always responded that they were booked- I told my husband we were fired..We do not cage our dog so it took a lot of research to find what we wanted. We found a person who boards from their home on 4 acres. Lots of play time and the day care dogs are just M-W-F with the dogs that board if any on the other days We still do a weekly day care and 2 weeks ago did the trial 3 night stay. Just so our baby doesn't forget. We always supply his blanket, and food. We do not take any of his toys but we do give her his favorite snack so his routine is the same. He fly's out of the car, and is running to the door to go out before we even leave, so yes we know he is fine. This trip is 11 days for us and its the longest we have been gone so I feel your pain. Just find someone you trust and all will be ok.

  3. We arrive at LAX a few days before our cruise and have decided to go to San Diego. Enterprise is in San Pedro but you will pay the drop fee. I tried every angle with an extremely nice person via the Enterprise line. IN our case getting a convertible cost less than an economy car.. Go figure.. BUT a convertible cannot be returned anywhere else but back at LAX. Talking it thru with again a nice person at our booked hotel ( Doubletree San Pedro ) it was suggested my husband return the car the day before the cruise and take the $17 shuttle back to the hotel in San Pedro. The cost factor outweighed the just 1:30 hour of being apart LOL

  4. I spoke with the shuttle co the other day and its $ 17 PP but they also charge $3.00 per piece of luggage. The distance is about 35 minutes depending on traffic. You can also take a private car for about $ 70.00 so if you have anyone to share the cost its also a nice way to go.
