I don't know why I'm just now seeing this, but I wanted to say thank you for posting!!

Did you ever reach out to them about parasailing? If so, were you able to book? We are considering this and have always wanted to do it, but this will probably be the only port that we are able to.
YES!! They have guys at just about every beach up and down where Nachi Cocum and others are. They are all in communication with each other and all work together for whatever activity you want. A tender came right up on the beach to pick us up. We rode over to an area by Carlos and Charlie's and then we were picked up by the parasail boat and taken out for the activity. It was awesome. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Then they tendered us back to Nachi when we were done. Have a wonderful time!

I put the sodas in a small duffle with my travel neck pillow and a rolled up travel blanket that o use on the plane. I had (2) 6 packs of the 16 oz plastic bottles. One was Coke Zero and the other was Diet Dr Pepper (which they actually serve on the Liberty). Happy cruising!
I forgot to add that we gave the duffle to a porter with the luggage and it was all delivered to our stateroom with no problems.

Thank you so much.
When you say duffle bag, did you carry the soda on board?
Was it a name brand like coke? or a store brand that they won't be selling on board?
Again thank you so much
:D

I'm on the Liberty right now. I brought two 6 packs of soda in a duffle bag. No problem. We flew to TX so I had the empty duffle in a suitcase. Picked up the soda local. Have a fabulous cruise. :)

Here is the heart shaped steak, courtesy of my daughter Beta.

I'm seriously laughing out loud at the Alpha and Beta names for your teens. I have a 17 year old and a 14 year old. I would probably have to name them Alpha 1 and Alpha 2. Keep this marvelous and witty review coming. We sail on 8/3 without our darling Alphas. ;)

I've sent an email to Nachi Cocum to see if they can arrange for parasailing there. That would be a great solution!! Thank you so much for all of the wonderful and helpful suggestions.
If they can't do it, I'll reach out to Steve. I'm determined to make sure we can "do it all"!
I'm so grateful for how friendly and supportive the cruise critic community is. This is only our second cruise and the first one was completely magical thanks to being prepared by these boards. Looking forward to more magic in September.

I didn't see any reviews from a couple of different travel sites either.
Mayan Beach Gardens says it's available on cruise ship days, but they rarely update their back pages, and provide no vendor listing.
I heard that a few years back no one was doing these and vendors were cancelling tours. Years and years ago, Tequila Beach handled most of the water-sport activities, especially post Hurricane Dean. But I don't see parasailing listed on their website.
Thanks so much for your input. Looks like I'll be booking hubby to parasail in Roatan and then have a fabulous beach day in Costa Maya. I'll just have to cruise to Roatan again to do the sail and snorkel that I'm dreaming of. Bummer ;)

Someone has said you can "parasail" at the Water Park outside the cruise port. Not sure what that means since the park isn't actually on the water.
Thank you so much! I saw this, but couldn't find any reviews from people who have actually done this. I'm a huge fan of reading people's experiences. Ha!

I've been trying to find somewhere for hubby to do this. We booked Nachi Cocum in Cozumel and I would love to sail and snorkel in Roatan, but we can skip that if absolutely necessary and parasail with Bodden. Parasailing in Costa Maya means we get to do everything we want. Ha! Has anyone done this in Costa Maya?
Thanks!!

Thank you all so much! I'm in love with cruise critic and the wealth of information here for those of us just starting out with cruising!
I don't drink coffee, but with the oj and bottles of water added to my soda and frozen drinks I'm seriously considering this "treat" of a package.
It's my first cruise! I should splurge...
Thanks again!!!

Sailing for the first time ever on the Oasis this November. Scoured the boards for an answer. I don't drink alcohol, but love my Coke Zero. I also can't wait for a piña colada by the pool. I'm trying to decide if the $20/day drink package would be worth it. Thanks!!!!
Parasailing in Costa Maya?
in Costa Maya

No idea...sorry! If you get dropped off at Carlos and Charlie's I'm sure they will direct you where to go to parasail.
***Sorry for the confusion about Costa Maya vs Cozumel for anyone else following along. I originally came here to see if we could parasail in Costa Maya. Turns out we could not find any information pre-cruise about doing it in Costa Maya. Someone suggested Cozumel and the thread continued. BTW I never saw any parasailers off the Malecon in Costa Maya. Happy cruising everyone!
