  1. Just off Carnival Liberty this morning. We did this excursion through the cruise line, and had a great time. It took about half an hour to get to the location for he ATVs. We spent a little more than an hour on the ATVs driving them through the plantations, and on the beaches in Clifton National Park. Then they took us to a beach in the park for about 2 hours.

  2. i also wondered if anyone else has had problems with the switch over from Liberty to the Valor.? i had purchased water for my room and a soda package for my child and it has disappeared. i waited a couple of weeks for them to work out the kinks in the move but after 5 phone calls they decided i had never ordered it. The sixth person i spoke to said yes he saw that i had just cancelled these purchases the night before.....3 months after the original purchase date. i was happy that at least they could see that i really had bought them i am irritated that i am having to go through months of bank statements trying to see if they credited my account or not. we have added several guests to our bookings and my daughters room has shuffled around a couple of times but my purchases always showed up when she was in her new room, until the switch to the Valor.

LAfirstcruise, I've also had problems with the ship switch only were supposed to be on Valor, and now we're on Liberty. I've come to the conclusion that Carnival must have some sort of massive internal communication problem because nothing ever seems to get resolved. I tried asking about it here last week looking for suggestions on how to get everything straightened out, but didn't get much in response. I'm still working on getting my own problems worked out, but I think I might have found someone that is willing to listen and help by emailing Carnival at guestsolutionssupport@carnival.com. Good luck!

  3. I am beyond frustrated at this point, and at a loss as to how to get this fixed. I'd love to hear any suggestions.

I booked an excursion for our Bahamas cruise back in October using $71 in gift cards (balance on gift card after paying off cruise) and $128 on a credit card. One week after I booked the excursion, the price for the excursion was raised by $10/pp.

When ship change was announced, Carnival assured everyone that all excursions, etc would be automatically transferred. Several days later, I got an email stating that my excursion was cancelled. Again, Carnival assured me that everything would be transferred, and my reservations were fine. Late November, I noticed the $128 refunded back to my credit card. There was no refund of the gift card balance. I called Carnival to express concern about the refund because I only received the credit card portion, and my credit card expired at the end of November which would make it difficult for them to recharge that. I was told that everything would be straightened out by the end of November, and I shouldn't worry about it. Since then, I have called at least once a week. Each time the customer service agent verifies my email and phone, and says that they'll follow up after contacting other departments, and that I should hear back by xxx date. Whatever date they give me always comes and goes with no further contact from Carnival. Then the cycle seems to start again.

Does anyone out there have any thoughts on how I can get my excursion back? Or the gift card balance? Something? Thanks for any help offered.

  4. Thanks for that, CB! We're interested in renting jet skis without doing the tours because we're leaving the kids on the beach with grandma, and didn't want to be gone so long. I was having trouble finding information on where on 7 mile beach to rent jet skis, the cost of doing so, and how readily available the jet skis are for renting without doing the tours.

  5. Thanks for the responses! Mystic Mountain is something to look into for the kids. I loved the pictures, Travel Mom! Looks like you had a great day in Jamaica! Can you tell me if there were life jackets available at the tubing or falls? Also, if anyone knows about Blue Hole and age restrictions I'd appreciate that info too! Thanks!

  6. Our family do 7 (4 teens between 19 & 13 plus a 3 year old) will be stopping in Falmouth for a day on our Western Caribbean itinerary, and we're having problems finding something we can do with the 3 year old that the teens would also enjoy. We've looked at Dunns River Falls, Blue Hole, and ship tours of either Montego Bay or Ocho Rios. What would you suggest? Can we do Dunns River or Blue Hole with a 3 year old? Or is there another activity that you would suggest?
