  1. I would like to add OBC to my son and daughter-in-law's upcoming cruise.  When I called to purchase, the C&A rep first told me that it would be available immediately, then changed his mind and said that it would not be available until after they board.  Does anyone have experience with purchasing OBC (not gift certificates) for someone else's reservation or know the best way I should go about this?  We would like for them to be able to use the OBC for pre-cruise purchases.

After 20 months, I'm still amazed people want to cancel......why book in the first place?  This is a long term issue, which will last at least another 3 years. Getting tests are now super easy, doing it at home, and wearing a mask is very limited on the ship.  I think maybe only 10% of my time I had it on.

This cruise was booked a year prior to Covid.

  3. Does anyone know how this works when only 1 person in your cabin wants to cancel due to protocol?  We have a cabin for 3 for a March cruise that has been lifted and shifted twice.  The third person is not comfortable with the protocols.  Will they give her a refund of her deposit?  We are not at final payment since they moved that to 30 days.  Will they reprice the cabin for the remaining 2?  Just trying to get an idea of what to expect when I call.

  4. We have a 2 bedroom suite for a spring cruise on the Navigator.  Within our group, some would like to prepay gratuities and some would like to pay them daily and have them charged to their folio at the end of the cruise.  Is that possible, or do we all need to do the same thing?  Also, we have a large amount of OBC that we received when booking onboard a year ago.  How do we go about splitting that up so that everyone gets their fair share?  One more question...some of us have OBC from the Royal Caribbean Visa card.  When we redeem that OBC, how will we designate who that goes to within the reservation?  Thanks in advance!

  5. We had the new menus on Freedom in February. I was disappointed in the entree choices. I noticed that the chicken and the steak on the menu each day were the same ones that were served in the warmers during lunch in the MDR. Since I do not each fish, my choices were limited, but I did manage to find something to eat. One night I ordered the braised short rib and couldn't cut it, even with a steak knife! Our waiter immediately saw I was struggling and quickly brought me something else. I really missed the sticky bread and butter pudding for dessert! The banana bread pudding was not good. The prime rib was good. Another thing I noticed was the new presentation of the caesar salad. I did not mind ordering dessert with dinner, but the whole process made us feel like we were being rushed. All in all, I did not go hungry, but I am not a fan of the new, more limited, menu.
