If you scuba dive contact "Scuba Club" for the best diving on the island. If you don't dive, rent a jeep and drive to the east side of the island. Very pristine, secluded, and you will find yourself alone with miles of untouched beaches.

We have done 5 in a balcony room more than once. Worked out so well we did it again. We also camp 5 in a tent, raft with 5 in the boat, sleep 5 in a hotel room, and ride 5 in a car. Our family likes being together. Do what works for your family.

Three weeks.

Whenever we have sailed hot chocolate is free during dinner and breakfast in the MDR. Usually our waiter understands our likes and brings the cocoa at the end of the meal when others usually order coffee. Our kids loved it.

You could always do one way car rentals.

This is our plan for May.

We rented a car (Dollar Rental) and drove. Stayed at the Sheraton Four Points on the beach the night before and we were able to park the car for the week on their lot for free. The hotel and rental car were cheaper than the ship's shuttle. You can walk from the hotel or try to take the hotel shuttle. The shuttle was crowded so I dropped my wife and luggage at the pier, took the car back to the hotel and then walked.

Can you give details on your car rental: company and rate/codes used. I'm having a heck of a time finding a decent rate out of IAH. TIA

It was Dollar Rental. Flew in the day before the cruise and flew out a day later. Stayed at Four Points in Galveston before the cruise and at Elements near the airport after the cruise. Rented the smallest car we could. I got the car a few weeks before the cruise. Another cruiser took a cab from the airport to an off airport car rental site and got an even better rate. I didn't have a code. Just used a search engine to find the lowest company and then went to the Dollar site directly to book. Sorry that is all I can remember.

Strange situation. Got a group of three couples flying in from different places, arriving at different dates, and times. All going on the same cruise. Looking for a hotel near Port Canaveral. First couple comes in Friday night and will pick up a rental car. They are spending Saturday sightseeing in the area. Second couple flies in Sunday am around 2am to Orlando. First couple will pick them up and return to hotel. Last couple flies in around 6 am Sunday morning. First couple picking them up as well. Don't really need multiple rooms as not much sleeping will be happening. Just need a place to reconnoiter and store bags until ready to board ship. Got a one way rental car from Orlando to Cape Canaveral so don't need to worry about car while on cruise.

I give a hearty second to the Prof. Scuba Club is hands down the best for drift diving. Boats and crew are top notch.

We have been able to stay in hotels that provide free parking to cruise passengers if you stay at least one night.Just ask the desk.

In Cozumel do a drift dive (Scuba Club divers). In Grand Cayman dive or snorkel with the sting rays. In Ocho Rios hike Dunns River Falls. Georgetown get a cab and tour the island or hang on the beach.
