Thank you to ARandonTraveler and Bonsai3s for supplying us with so much useful information, this has definitely helped towards our travels plans for next month’s cruise from  Singapore to Japan. 

I’ve just ordered a small amount of Vietnam currency for our cruise  next month 

Great review we are on the 12 night 19th September sailing direct flight from London so fingers crossed no travel issues.

Visited Singapore many times but this will be our first cruise from there. Thanks for all the useful information so far.

They picked us up near the port at 9:00 (behind diamonds international)  and we returned the car at around 8:00 pm.  I think we could have kept it longer based on the booking platform.  I wasn't super comfortable with the on-line booking so we contacted them by phone a few weeks prior to arriving just to make sure they had our reservation.  They accept credit cards for payment the day you pick up the car.  Their communication about where to pick up could have been better-we had to call them twice when we got off the ship to clarify their instructions- and the car we got was pretty rough and older but the AC worked and it got us around the island.  

Did they take you to their office or was the vehicle waiting at the meeting point

I use All Clear for my mum who is over 80 with medical issues.  Their annual multi trip insurance is nearly the same price as a single trip. But as many have previously said the cost you will have to pay is probably more than your cruise fare. 
 

I have never had any issues booking via the USA, I normally just phone Celebrity direct , it will also cost you nothing if you have Wi-Fi calling on your phone.

I have already booked a B2B for Dec 2022/Jan 2023 on Horizon

I always use Coastal at the port never had a problem with them. if you book online ahead of time you may need to pay a small deposit.

I would say its about a 25 minute walk to the heart of the town centre, a lot of people share taxis. 

Every time I have been to Barbados there has been shuttles provided from ship to the terminal only.

Always pay on line never had any issues, email with new invoice is sent immediately.

Its simple I'm not flying half way round the world to go on just a 7 night cruise my, next B2B = 19 nights now that's a decent break :D

I have flown direct with Norwegian Air from Gatwick once not sure if they are still flying that route. All other times I have flown to Miami and then on to PR with American Airlines. As others have stated all you need is an Esta to enter the US.

I've been having the same issue- I can't access my online check in and we sail in 6 days! Not sure what to do, we're going to Cuba as well so there may some additional forms for us to fill out regarding our visas.

 

Will they allow us to fill everything out at the terminal if we can't get into our account in time?

I was able to checkin using the Royal App when I was having problems with their actual website.

Unfortunately, the Royal App doesn’t quite work on an iPad. The display is screwed up so that certain functionality does not work correctly. The most annoying is the deck plans which once opened cannot be closed other than by killing the app all because the “x” icon does not display.

I always get off at every port and where possible I rent a vehicle and go exploring, the few hours spent at many of these ports in my view will never be enough when finding new things to experience. I cruise for the destinations and the ship for me is just a hotel room at sea.

I have 9256 and 1104 booked on Serenade B2B in January, although I booked last year July I still couldn't get the same cabins but I definitely wont complain about these 2

I will always try and book an Aft, all of my current booked cruises are in Aft cabins I have to agree with a previous poster that when doing the Panama Canal Aft is definitely the way to go, when I did it back in 2014 on Legend of the Seas the views and experience was just an amazing experience.

Following your great review we will be sailing on her in January
